43% WinRate Sylas. Bring back the shield

Hello, sorry for bad English. I play league not that much, I try Sylas and completely love the champion. But i play top lane, not mid, and with nerfs on the shield that give you only magic damage defense it so hard to win lane vs all bruisers and Yasuo's. Because he melee champion, and you had to farm in close range and fight, like Rumble, Shen, Mordekaizer. And Rumble, Shen, Kaizer has there shield that block all damage to deal with this problem, but Sylas for some reason don't. Another aspect, that in team fights again you as Sylas have to face tank tons of damage to be able to deal damage, and without protection you die so fast. I know, that Sylas has crazy life steal when he low. But this ability is long cooldown, and you need to be really low to proc it. For example Mordekaizer, again melee champion has his shield from ALL damage, and Plus heals from it. Yes, Kaizer and Rumble don't have gap closer like Sylas, but they have slow and pull to you, on top of that they build tanky items that give them health. If you build health items on Sylas he deal like negative damage, you start basically heal enemy team with your hits. So i hope you bring the attention to one of the lovest win rate champion in the game with some buffs to play him in more roles that mid lane.

Gut his auto resets, make e a snare or remove the knockup, lower the health thresholds on w, and then he can have the shield back.

And we lover his winrate into like 35%. His not strong at all against almost all top laners, and auto resets is really hard to pull in teamfights when they hit you like a track.

If he loses his ult then sure. His ult stealing is completely bs since even if he's the worst champion in the game, he can steel malphite or amumu ult and become the best champion in the game.

Well, if you see him as a late game champ, lest talk about late game champ's. Vlad, Swain - they have amazing ult all game long, but early they can or kick asses, or turtle it under tower and last hit and scale, they have range. Sylas can't do that, cause mother flippers hit his face when he farm under tower, he's melee. Gameplay around late game ult's not fun at all, especially in a game where not much to steal, like karma, jayce, atrox, etc and you became usseles, when Vlad and Swain good every game no meter what.

The problem is his whole kit just has so much in it that he's nearly unbalanceable.

The old E just highlighted just how overloaded his kit is, Its a bloody Riven E AND and Amumu Q COMBINED.

His W is basically an Illaoi W Combined with the conditional healing from WW/Nunu Q when they're low.

And his Q is double proccing waveclear.

And on top of that he can steal any of the 5 enemy ults, which are very often the strongest ability in a kit.

How people thought he wouldn't end up as a completely unbalanceable champion and high elo balance nightmate blows my mind, similarly to how kallista ryze azir cannot be allowed to be viable in average Elos because their design makes it that in higher tier play they just give high skilled players way too much power.

But Riots more recent champion releases have pretty blatantly shown that as far as Core Game Balance goes they're just winging it or worse completely ignoring it in favor of pushing more "flashy new mechanics" into the game. Pyke, Zoe (unlimited summoner spells LOL), Kaisa basically being a marksman mage that can build any offensive item in the game, Neeko despite being more balanced than others on this list added a new mechanic, Yuumi goes without saying, and Qiyana who has as much CC as pyke despite being an assassin. All these champions prove that riot is throwing the new overloaded shit in, b/c it sells and is popular, and doing damage control on the obvious balance fallout after their introductions.

just look at how much nerfs they did to irelia before she was actually balanced. The introduction and removal of disarm, as well as nerfs upon nerfs upon nerfs

Something needs to go from his kit if he's going to be balanced- he has an insane amount of mechanics in his kit before you even consider his ult. Some stuff just has to give before they can bring back his shield.

He has root and auto attack reset with life steal. It's not that much, amumu have same kit almost, jax has jump and auto reset, atrox has 3 stuns + root + life steal. And don't forget, when you go in with your root you in melee range and enemy team damage you.

He can't, his kit synergies with almost every ult he steals in the game.

It's not that simple. His kit great with ult's yes, but after 6 you can steal it once, and then you can't long amount of time, Your opponent gonna use ult again and you can't defend yourself if you don't roam and steal another ult. And as a top laner you can't roam alot, espacialy when your other kit WITHOUT ult is so weak.
