Going trhough the forums, comments, youtube and basicly any form of media information i get the feeling that Pantheon is a highly underrated Champion at this point. Meeting him in a match has become a rarety, which i feel conflicted to and would like to discusse with the community. I consider myself a Pantheon main, he is my favorite Champ ever since i started the game and i believe he is still one those Champions that can make the enemy team experience literal hell. His early game Dmg and first Blood Chances are amazing, especially in this season since like mentioned before you dont see him very often. In my experience you can catch most top laner off guard early, and basicly score 3 kills under 10 minutes if the enemy reacts poorly. Even as a Top laner his ganking potential and kill secure is crazy since u can basicly get a free under tower kill if for example the enemy midlaner has retreated and wants to port back into the base. I have to admit that if as Pantheon you fail the get a head start, the game wont be easy espeacially after the enemy tanks finished the first item before you. Still i didnt want to start to conversation in order to talk about his obvious late game weakness. I believe that as Pantheon your priority is to get kills early and just straight deny your enemy the Chance to farm since after the first kill, every form of enemy farming has to be punished brutally. Combining this with his ability to basicly gank any low life enemy across the map with either teleport and his ult Pantheon has the Power to get fed so quickly and proficient that the enemy wont have a chance to do anything against it, until further in the game. This takes pressure ( and in most cases kills) of your teammates and in ym personal experience turns early and mid game into a very rewarding experience, assuming that your own team is doing fine as well most games i played were decided in the first 20 minutes. So getting my personal experience out the way i would like what you people out there think about Pnatheon and if he is truly underrated or just appears in more specific games, leagues or ranks. By the way, i dont play ranked games in League so my opinion might be influenced by that, please feel free to correct me or just tell me your opinion. I created this discussion because i just love Pantheon as a Champion and would like to see hm get the Credit he, in my opinion truly deserves. Pantheon

I think this is what most people have an issue with. Well, this combined with a very lackluster late game. If you fail to snowball as Panth, you got yourself an uphill climb. And where is that climb going? A very mediocre late game. If that.

Panth is like Riven, but Riven can come back and be a monster later if she farms up. Panth can too, but it's much more difficult for him. At the same time, sometimes you get counterpicked and can't bully the lane. Then you have to suffer until 6 when you can attempt to roam and snowball that way. Hopefully you ulting into a lane that's pushed toward your tower is pretty much a guaranteed kill, but never underestimate the incompetence of your allies.

All in all, he'd be a lot more popular if you weren't punished so severely for not getting ahead early, and becoming much less effective as anything but a stun late game.

I totally agree with this, but he is such a lane bully it's pretty hard not to get FB or at least 1-2 kills around lvl 6. If you fail to snowball you have to Max E and split push top to get fed. After all you do have a Semi global ulti.

He will see increased play once everyone figure out the new item is broke as #### on him.

Yeah. Duskblade makes him relevant later on, but he still has the same problems.

If he gets nerfed because of that item, I swear to god.

Hey there, I was a main of Pantheon aswell and he is also my favourite champion. In my opinion he needs a rework similar to Shen, to make at least the Q and W more instersting to use and work on his stats/scaling a bit. I even made a post some days ago with suggestions for a potential rework but some people didn't like it... But good news, yesterday I say a small text about someone from RIOT saying that Pantheon needs indeed a rework aswell as a VU (obviously... those pizza feet...) BUT he will have to wait because there are other priorities in the reworks. I guess me you and all the other Pantheon lovers will just have to wait months, maybe even a year or more until our beloved champion comes back with a fresh more interesting kit and more importance in the game. Meanwhile I have been playing Shen because he offers almost the same things as Pantheon but better, mainly the map presence and dueling power while being more tanky, and a better escape/gap closer aswell as better CC. And Renekton because of the crazy early game kill potential like Pantheon xP Trying to make do with the ones that have something in common with him while waiting...

Agreed.

I've been playing Pantheon for the past 3-4 months pretty heavily. I do indeed think his kit is a bit boring, but there are tons of things to make him fun.

As for Pantheon he is actually very strong right now. Due to the new item being released you pretty much turn into ZED with a stun and semi-global ulti. He also counters a lot of champions in the meta due to his poke and burst. I actually take him mid quite often and destroy. I would like to see riot remake a few aspects of Pantheon, but overall he is still very strong and capable in the right hands.
