Should've won that fifth game. Would've been Bronze I. :P
It also goes off of everybodys rank, so if two of you are bronze, chances are you're getting bronze regardless of how many games you win
I found when playing with my friends that in order to get them in higher ranks (to reduce the chances of BS) it was better to play with me and force their elo higher. Because sometimes the MM'er just throws you against 5-10 bronze teams and you steamroll them all and wonder wtf. My friends who played with me ended up around my rank in Silver while my friends who didn't ended up closer to the top of Bronze. I'm not going to even talk about how bad the ranked system is in general for ranks, but still it just shows that often you are thrown at the mercy of the MM'er during your placements and you can end up gold/silver for steamrolling or high bronze.
