I can understand having supports be auto filled when there is a severe lack of support mains particularly in highly populated elo's like silver and gold, but jg shouldn't have a shortage of players. I've autofilled Jungle even when a teammate had queued for the role, why does this happen.

A Vacuum could occur in the role if it gets majorly changed some how, yet I don't remember Riot doing anything recently to impact jungle. I remember back at season 5 when Riot first reworked the Jungle and it's itemization, a lot of people abandoned the role. We didn't have role select back then, but we did have team builder, and the Jungle position did have some vacancies. I was able to fill that vacuum, and that was pretty much when I first learned how to Jungle.
