So I was a bronze 1 in S4, won 7 of 10 provisionals and some how ended up bronze 3. Idk about y'all but this seems pretty f'ed up. Can someone explain the clusterfuck of a system rito made for s5 ranking?

I my friend won 5 out of 10 and made it to Silver 5, figure that one out. This years Provos are a joke. Roll a dice and see where you start.

The system works almost the same as before, it just feels like it's worse this year because Riot made it easier to move up tier/division when they removed MMR clamping. All the duoing and various other tricks to help you rank up basically led to lots of people having lower MMRs than their rank was supposed to be, and so they're being placed lower than they expect.

No, it's about how much you drop. If you win 100%, you stay where you are. If you lose 2 games, you'll probably drop 1 tier, and so on.

Mainly because riot believe taht if you don't belong to wehre they placed you, you will climb or drop to wehre you belong.

It's always the Bronze people that call it a fucked up system. Huh.

Anyway, you're generally going to drop unless you had really high MMR for your division. It's supposed to drop you a little bit if you have normal (or really drop you if you're super low MMR, like some people that were in Silver 5). You didn't go 7/10 against Bronze 1 and low Silver people, you werent 7/10 against mid Bronze people.

It's not the same system as it was last year. It takes your MMR into much more consideration now. So chances were, you had low MMR for Bronze 1, probably lost more than you won for awhile, and actually had Bronze 3 MMR. There were Silver 5 people that got lucky in S4 placements that just lost constantly in Silver 5 but weren't dropped out, and got placed Bronze 4 etc. this season.

The placements are more brutal than they previously were. They used to give low Elo freebies. It doesn't anymore.
