Where is the logic behind this?

Why can't you share accounts and boost people but play duo with them and boost them that way. It doesn't make sense i mean you still BOOST them. Yes sharing accounts makes your stats for champs etc go up higher and other shit but duo boosting is like the same thing you boost someone AWAY from their deserved ranks which will then make them climb upwards obviously and might play a game where the booster isn't playing with him at that time so you will have a bronze player play in platinum it's so dumb.

Yes you have to make an account and rank up from 0 and play with someone at the same time but why take someone with you that doesn't even deserve it.

Honestly it's just dumb in my opinion please make duo boosting bannable just as account sharing is bannable.

With them duo it still forces the unskilled player to be in the game. Boosters don't have a 100% win rate, whereas selling accounts is a bit worse, because bad players don't even play for it.

It's also pretty hard to identify boosters, I could just be friends with Faker while he is leveling up his youtube smurf.

Because matchmaking means that it won't be a plat in a silver game, but a plat+silver in a gold game. And the "booster" needs to carry the weight of someone who's playing above their skill, meaning it's going to get progressively harder and harder. If you've ever played support in low tier (or ADC, tbh), you know how bad it can be watching someone die to the same shit over and over and there being nothing you can do about it.

Also, because they still have to actually win, rather than just throwing money at the problem.

Because as far as I know they can place limits on your duo partner, for instance, I'm silver 4, but I probably cant duo with Imaqtpie. Thus he can't boost me with duo unless he's on a smurf account (only so much you can do), but I could give imaqtpie my account information to boost me that way. However, with giving someone your account, it's JUST the person boosting that has to be worried about.

With duo, my silver ass has to not feed hard enough against the diamond's or plats or where ever he is boosting me to to not just make my team too heavy. So I highly doubt a challenger can carry a bronze into master. Considering how challenger streamers are complaining about the new ranked system and how it's got PLATS ON THEIR TEAM and thus too heavy to carry in diamond... lol

However, I like duo in ranked because quite frankly, I probably wouldn't play this game anymore if I couldn't play with a friend since it's so awful alone really.

People in the same elo duoing I don't have problems with honestly.

It shouldn't be ban-able, they just shouldn't allow people do duo that are more than 1.5ish divisions apart from each other.
