using trackball for unlocked camera?

so im a bronze 3 player. ive been playing league for about two years now and my higher ranking friends say playing unlocked cam helps your skill level. now ive been trying to play unlocked every now and then, but its still really difficult for me. but i recently saw a mouse with a trackball and was like, what if i use the trackball to move the camera and used the mouse normally? i was curious if anyone had done this before though, just to know if it actually works or not before i end up buying one.
