Season 8: End of Tanks?

I understand it's early, but this is not a "tweak" to be made. I've played 3 games now where I go tank and regardless of what I build even an Ashe with just a BF Sword blows me up. It seems there's literally no reason to buy thornmail, or any armor item it's completely worthless in the new system. It's frustrating as an amumu JG main that I literally cannot tank any damage from even a badly farmed Ashe.

My question for everyone is, do you think this is riots intention to ditch the idea of having a tank per team? Or are they just way off and didn't realize the implications of the patch?

I feel like riot just dont want tanks anymore. I am a Garen main, on my last 3 games I melted like butter in the heat "vs solo ADC" I have on avrage in 3 games, over 3,5k hp and 220+ armor, 160+mr. Usually i get items like Sunfire, BC, Dead Mans Plate, Adapteve helm/spirit vis. and all the other standar tank items. But it just wont counter anything from adc, They build AS, crit. I Go with Omen, they go AS with AD and AP dmg, i go thonrmail and adapteve helmet. In other words, whatever i build I get melted in max 3 sec vs solo ADC. WTH is this??? isnt it suppose to be possible to tank adc dmg? No I can not, cuz none of the tank items can do that, when u get outscaled/outdamaged by sick Armor pen and Attack speed items. And making things worse, the hp%dmg is a joke, with that, i cant even get HP to counter the sillyness.

I pretty much main taric and its like they nurfed tf out of him with these runes. If im against AD and AP in bot. Im useless because they can lane bully so hard and I barely can take any damage like I did before. Its not fun. If top/mid, arent doing good then its an automatic lose because my lane aint winning without a really good outplay or a gank.

I have played 6 games with Nautilus so far. 5 of them were win becouse i hard carried. No deaths. Enemy was crying wtf is this new runes.

Not to be that guy but we need serious talk here so i'll admit i dont know if you are being sarcastic or what since it does not really translate well but i looked at your 5 of 6 games you talked about how you won because you "hard carried" and i hardly consider your stats as you "hard carrying". So again if this is being sarcastic sorry it does not translate well in text. Honestly tanks feel pretty bad right now.

I all know is when i am a full tank rammus with about 4300 hp and 260 armor with 200 mr with tabis and i am dead in about one second flat (maybe 1.5) then it's not viable and the funny thing is it was not the mage damage that did the most is was the adc stilling back that shooting me but i am suppose to be anti ad.

It gets worse. They're reverting the changes to Black Cleaver from the tank update but not reverting the health/resistances shift on Sunfire Cape, Spirit Visage, and Deadman's Plate.

Have fun eating shit from Gnar Jayce Quinn Riven Fiora Garen Darius while every tank not named ornn or maokai sit in the dumpster.
