I for one love the 6.9 changes

The numbers on a lot of stuff are a bit skewed right now, but other than that the changes made the game a lot more fun.

The dragons don't feel like some sort of lackluster buff that you have to get 5 of to be useful. Rift Herald is actually a decent buff to get right now (although I think the time on it should be tuned down.) All of the mages are a lot more interesting to play against.

Honestly, this is much better release than pre-season 6. Just waiting for numbers and balance changes to take place before I play ranked, but I'm honestly loving this right now.
