I really just enjoy playing Aram and special game modes. I would probably max out at a silver II tops. So why am I constantly going up against teams of diamonds and plats? My team typically consists of silvers and unranked. It's tiring and pointless.

higher elo people tend to play mainly ranked, thus their normals mmr is lower.
