So this seems like a stupid thing but it really bothers me cause... Logic. Why bother having a button for "Add to Loot"? There isn't an alternative. Its going there anyway. Its not like clicking the loot gives you a preview (like champ skin splash) or any information (for champs, opening the champ info page) and honestly it doesn't take long to look at it. Why not just click open chest and then have it auto add to loot after 3-5 seconds but allow opening more chests or clicking on loot items. I hate that I have to wait for it to load and then click add to load so I can click add to loot when it has to go there anyway.

I don't feel like most people are opening enough chests for it to be a big deal.

That said, it's probably there so people know they actually are getting their loot. People are sometimes not the sharpest, and theres been cases of people complaining that hextech crafting wasn't working right and they didn't get their loot (when they did) since they clicked through the confirmation and didn't realise they got it. A number of people might be all "wait...did it work? huh? is this a scam?! I want my money back!?!?!" if it just quickly and quietly put the loot in your inventory, which is a sometimes unfortunate reality with this sort of thing.

Plus theres probably something psychological about the added delay to actually getting loot to make it more addicting or whatever, so that's probably a consideration as well.
