Asking about Zilean

1. Asking about Zilean Zilean changes in the future? Hi I'm ancientocean the bronze lvl 7 Zilean main and i have some questions about everyones favourite foxy grandpa Zilean. If that cheesy introduction didn't get you hooked onto this horrible monster of a post then i hope that my randomly placed time puns will get you through the rest but as you can tell from the title i think its abouttime we get some info on the Zilsta, seeing that the last time he was touched (excluding bug fixes) was in the rip roil patch of 5.23 where his passive was changed so I'm wondering where is the news about him. Considering his last skin was from 2015 (blood moon Zilean released May 11 2015) he has relatively been ignored other than the common pro play by Bjergsen in the mid lane and has basically never been seen in the support role in pro play i was thinking is i time to give him some nerfs/buffs or even a rework?

** 2 .Vgu?** I understand that there is currently a long line up of champs that need vgu's in the future such as Warwick Warwick and Urgod Urgot and I also understand that his particles are pretty up to date and he has a pretty straightforward playstile, but alot of his skins splashes and models are looking pretty old e.g old saint Zilean, the last time his skins were toucked were in the glorious patch of 4.20 where he got a texture update to them but looking at the model and the splash he seemingly needs new ones like Sion and Tristana only thing is they've already gotten theirs and their has been no news on Zilean getting a vu of even splash update.

3. Buffs/Nerfs?

Being a Zilean main myself I know for a fact that he's is very strong, his kit is loaded with a spamable high damage ability a 30 second ga a 99% slow and a aoe stun Looking out Zileans ap scalings his q has a base damage of 300 at max rank and a 90% ap scaling, now looking at another mages aoe damage ability like Oriannas ult which also has a damage of 300 at max rank scaling with 70% of another example Annie ult with a damage of 400 at max rank and a 65% ap scaling, now imagine having this on a spamable ability what I'm tryna say is that his q has a really high scaling and is very strong. After some time and playing Zilean alot I found that his early game i very strong with constant high damage harass and a relatively easy to hit stun and and currently wondering if there will be changes to it in the future like nerfs to it or buffs with nerfs.

4.Conclusion

Overall i found that typing this was very time consuming and i hope that someone at riot will notice this and shed some light onto the future of Zilean, so anyways thank for reading my horrible post full of time puns (phreak senpai notice me) and have a wonderfull day/night you salty feeders. For sure, Zilean needs a visual update, but I also think he could do with a kit rework at some point. His Rewind mechanic would likely be more appropriate as an innate, for example, and his current level-increasing passive hasn't really ended up generating the most exciting gameplay.

Beyond that, though, the biggest issue with him is that he's supposed to be League's time mage, yet really squanders that potential. Time is a tremendously interesting power to manipulate, and there are so many ways to bend time, e.g. stop it, rewind it, slow it down, fast-forward it, etc., yet Zilean's kit is comparatively unimaginative when it comes to exploiting that theme: his method of stopping time is a stun, his rewind only affects his own cooldowns, and his means of slowing/accelerating time is just a pure movement speed boost. This is understandable given League's tech at the time of his creation, but now that it's evolved by leaps and bounds, he could be doing so many more interesting things: he could be slowing time across an entire zone, affecting projectiles and attack speeds, and not just movement, or placing both allies and enemies in stasis, or even laying down mini-Ekko rewinds on units. I feel he really should be all about manipulating the fundamental forces of time, instead of laying down a series of mostly unrelated actives that all have some vague connection to time.

well, i´d welcome a rework - right now he´s in the top 5 winrates for more than a year and his kit isn´t really interactive at all for his opponents. Thus he really becomes highly frustrating to play against whenever he´s in skilled hands (and his team also understands him a little and doesn´t just flash away with his ult on them to not die -.-)

i´d like to see him having to do a little more than just throw bombs and walk away over and over - maybe shift some power into autoattacks or really rework the e in some kind of winup channel that can empower his bombs, buff his allies or slow down his opponents, but not instant but instead longer channel->more effect (like speed/slow: 10/12,5/15/17,5/20% per tick, 1tick every 0,5sec - if stacked to 100% allies become cc immune, opponents get stunned + bomb radius+dmg increases by 10/15/20/25/30% + full channel (3sec) will make it true dmg (he really can stand a lategame dmg increase, especially vs tanky targets).
