So my first ranked game of the day I was matched with an "Unranked" Jungler. It didn't bother me too much at first but, after I learned that my top lane was in their Silver IV promos it really rustled my jimmies. How could riot do such a thing. Why not match them with bronze 2 players that's where the majority of people end up anyway. I've rarely heard of anyone getting put into silver V after their placements.

Imperial Pandaa1 votesJust because you don't hear about it, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. My friend, during his first season in ranked was placed in Silver 5. In this season, I was placed in Silver 5 after placements.
Most players in their first ranked season start in Silver, some will stay and others will go; whether promoted or demoted.
I do agree that maybe some sort of consideration should be made with people in promos but that could prove difficult.
