The ability to honor an opponent

I was curious why they removed the ability to honor opponents. Certainly it wouldn't take the place of honoring an ally but the ability to honor an opponent who was fun to play with or was helpful would be very nice while still being able to honor allies.

ASFAIK, it was limitations and was simply just not implemented in with the new honor system at the time of launch and future addition of the capability to honor opponents was being considered.

Riot said they will be adding it back in eventually.
