Is Taliyah worth my time

I'm a silver 3 ADC main but i'm not too far of off buying Taliyah and i wonder if she is worth mastering at the moment. I'm willing to put time into her because i personally find her very interesting. I would be playing her in the mid lane and not support ^^.

Cheers,

If you can pull off roaming rather than isolating the mid lane only, then she can be powerful when her utility used to the max potential.

Taliyah R has no damage so it's more utility than a delete you in 1 spell move.

She's very fun to play, and she feels a bit like Aurelion Sol where you don't expect to do a lot of burst but easily can if you can manage to land one of your combos.

She also has one of my personal favorite personalities in the game.

She had one if the highest win rates in the game for people who put over 100 games with her

That's actually pretty interesting, is that for higher elo's though?

The graph is based on # of games played, not sorted by elo. So a bronze 5 summoner who has played her 123 times is included with the challenger summoner who has played her 119 times.

But either way, it averaged out to a high win rate.

Long story short; no.

What makes you say that?

She can do well if you take the time to learn her kit. she does need good aim 3 of her skills and the last one has a best case usage that requires knowing if ya landed the knockback properly. So high skill cap, but walling people off to their doom is dam satisfying.

Taliyah takes a LOT of time and failure to get to actually mastering her, but when you do, you'll shred so hard because her kit is so damn good for like everything.

Passive MS increase is wonderful for roaming, engaging, escaping. Q deals a TON of damage, is great waveclear, amazing for early-game CS when used on worked ground, and worked ground itself is actually fantastic if you position it properly. Directional knock-up that is good for EVERYTHING, especially if paired with your E which will just ruin someone's day. AoE slow is great. The wall is honestly the hardest part about mastering Taliyah, just because of timing and positioning. You can be awesome and close off a lane when the enemies push to your tower for an easy 3v2, or if you're too early you'll lock them out of tower with yourself for a 1v2 you're going to lose. Knowing when to throw a wall and when to ride it is pretty critical.

If you put in the time to learn her kit, yes. If you want a free win, no.

VERY strong if played well, mediocre to bad otherwise. Same with Sol, Galio, Camille, Fiora, Ryze, etc.

Taliyah is a journey to master, and even when you think you have her figured out you notice more and more what she is lacking or rather by the end of the game you think "what could i have done differently? not play taliyah?" because there are many other midlaners that get the same job done with much less effort.

that beeing said she is still fun and very unique to play, one of my favorite champions actualy and boy does it feel rewarding to win with her!

It's like you are playing Darksouls 1 with a keyboard, it's painfull and often you want to grab the controller but eventually you got it figured out. I'm honestly just hoping they change her passive or add something to her kit seeing how her passive and her R are only utility and that's often why other midlaners seem stronger.

have i mentioned it's hard to win with her? might just be me but sometimes you try so hard and in the end it dosn't even matter.
