First Ryze, who next?

When I started playing league in 2014, I jumped around between a few champs before deciding I would main Ryze. However, it wasn't until this spring (2016) that I began playing on a consistent basis. More than 95% of the games I have played (Around 350ish in all?) have been on Ryze.

Recently, as we all have seen, Ryze was reworked, which in turn caused his win-rate to drop as is common with champions after they are extensively changed. This happened at an extremely inconvenient time, because I was just getting confident enough with him to start playing ranked (which I did, placing S4 before dropping to S5; I obviously didn't do as well as I had expected, which is common I suppose).

Now I have stepped back from league, not knowing what to do. It is my fault for not learning other champs, but that's the past. Now I need another champ to main, and I guess a few more to learn. I'm open to any position if there's a champion that you guys feel would suit me well considering my background. Who should I learn now?

Champs I have experience on (Most to Least): Ryze (obv) Sona Zed & Teemo

  • I mained Ryze mid before swapping to top. (65%mid/35%top would be my best guess)

So, what do you guys think?

play random champs that you like to play.

If I tell you to play urgot because your stats on him are good, but you hate him, the game wont be fun for you.

If you like to play bard but you suck at him, spam him and eventually you will get good with him, and you will enjoy playing him.

I mean reworks are pretty understandable. If you remember old poppy, she could basically go full crit-strike damage while getting 8 seconds of kayle ult invulnerability by simply using her ult on a tank or support in a team fight, that definitely 100% for needed to change, and I know first hand because I duoed with an old poppy main and they would always just automatically win team fights and be the one to get tripples and doubles every time. Win rate dropping to what other characters are at is what Riot wants in order to maintain a balance of gameplay.

Play a champ that is good where they are now. I wouldn't recommend certain assasins atm since the assasin rework is going to happen soon. Perhaps you could try someone like Nid or something.
