When an Annie casts spells and gains her passive, It's up FOREVER (until she casts a spell). This one factor is what allows so many Annies to pressure/zone their midlane opponent while winning every trade that they instigate. There's a reason that she's played at every elo, her skill floor is just too low for the amount of power that she possesses. She is a caster with a Point+Click CC that CANNOT miss, and at a certain point in the game, that click means death to a target that gets caught out.

My Ideas for a potential answer for this is to make her passive have a timer, similar to how Yi passive works, but the stacks that she has don't dissipate until the actual stunning stack, meaning that annie wont be a mind-meltingly easy champion. Also making Q a skillshot would help.

So, nerf Annie sorta like how Veigar got nerfed. Get rid of the insta-stun so there is room for counterplay. Makes sense.

Funny thing is too, Veigar used to also be played support in the LCS back in seasons 3 and 4. Now, Annie fills the support role occasionally just for the same reason (instant AOE stun).

She needs a rework, not really a nerf. Maybe if her ult had a bigger area but it had a .5 second delay, that could keep her from insta-bursting... but the passive idea works too. She needs to stay aggressive and spam her spells in order to keep her stun up, which would cost her mana, but maintain lane pressure. Good idea!

She really needs a full rework. You can't touch the insta stun on the Ult without completely gutting her identity, and play style. (like they did with Veigar) And nerfing her stun passive would be problematic for her mage Identity, as it's her only source of CC.

If Annie was to get reworked. I would like to see her retain her ability to engage. But I would like to see more power when tibbers is OUT, rather than UP.

But riot won't actually do anything at the moment, when the LCS is currently paying the bills. What they could do is nerf her Burst. That wouldn't affect her Support build that the LCS so dearly covets.
