Reporting/Banning

In my opinion Riot needs to get rid of the reporting system. No other video game before League of Legends had a reporting/banning system. You could say whatever you want and if you were being a dick/annoying/rude people would just mute you. Even on a game like Call of Duty (which is filled with 11 year old kids) you simply just mute them and they're gone from your life. Everyone in League cries about "how terrible the community is" and "the toxic environment". All of that would go away if people stopped caring about it!! You feed the trolls by acknowledging their annoying tendencies. If Riot honestly thinks the perfect system is to have feeders/ragers/trolls/etc. be judged, reported, and banned by other feeders/ragers/trolls/etc. then they are severely misguided.

I disagree I shouldn't have to put up with people being total douche bags in a game I play to relax after work and my nieces and nephews shouldn't have to deal with people older than they are acting like little kids and raging over stupid shit in a video game.

WoW, Guild Wars, XBox Live as a WHOLE, RuneScape, Roblox, Vanguard. Off the top of my head. I'm actually fairly certain every MMO in the past 10 years has a report system.

so i keep getting chat restricted and my main account got banned for 2 weeks. today I got banned for no reason. I haven't been swearing or anything. this chat ban is pissing me off cuz I didn't do anything. how is it get banned for nothing but trolls and other people that swear at me in game end up in my future games? idk how they decide to chat ban people or whatever but I pay a lot of money into this game for champs and skins so id like a fair chance and not get banned for nothing. I had a screen pop up my last game saying that I had negative behavior ingame. which I didn't. there was a troll and I asked him to not troll and for people to report him for intentionally feeding yet I get chat banned for it. where is the justice in that?

First game of HotS, first thing said by anyone before the first creep wave went down: "idiot". Team proceeded to call each other retarded for no reason I was aware of. Loss.

Next game I was called a moron for picking Tassadar and at 30 seconds into the match the guy facechecked a bush with 5 people in it and rage quit. Loss.

Blizzard doesn't do anything with reports, clearly the community is better!

The bottom line is there is zero reason to act like a total douche bag in the game and if you are determined to act like one you deserve what ever punishment Riot feels like giving you.

show me proof of these stats you are coming up with? If you get reported and have done nothing wrong you won't be punished. People that false report get punished as well

There is difference between constructive criticism and telling some one to kill them selves and uninstall the game for being bad.
