Pick malphite and it's legit time to cry for a trynd (obvs not that simple in blind pick). Play hyper passive, max E first for the atk speed slow and go full armour: Start cloth+refil pot. Bamis cinder>ninja tabi>frozen heart>complete sunfire>thornmail>randuins>spirit visage. The build provides plenty of armour to boost the dmg thornmail will deal, bolster your E while also blocking a crap tonne of trynds dmg. He don't have true dmg so you need not fear stacking armour like this. He builds blade of the ruined king? Big deal you have 3 items of pure armour and 3 attack speed slows. If you can survive the early stages until you hit lvl 9 (when you max E) you will out scale him big time, even enough to 1v1 outright. That is the point where I have felt most comfortable face tanking and trading blows, as I have ult to escape if the enemy jungle shows up. NOTE: I SAID SURVIVE, NOT THRIVE. You don't have to cs like a god and you don't NEED KILLS! This build isn't very expensive and it will be far more satisfying killing the dumbass trynd who tries to tower dive a full armour malphite but can't auto attack you fast enough resulting in "you have slain an enemy".

Since I take such satisfaction out of making opponents playing irritating champs suffer, I also run a full armour rune page granting me 30 armour at lvl 1 and scaling MR blues for 27 MR at lvl 18. This isn't necessary as it is quite an IP investment.

Shen and tahm kench can also far quite well. Shen negates his AA in his lil zone and has superior consistent burst (trynd relies on lucky crits) while tahm can wait till he ults, eat him and burn up a crap tonne of the ult duration while trynd sits in his belly.

Vlad is a safe pick like mal but is able to cs and bully trynd far more easily. Issue is any trynd above silver will get grievous wounds and even if they don't, a trynd with ignite/tp or ignite/ghost will ruin your day.

Singed is similar to mal in that he struggles early but dominates as the game goes on. Since ur main dmg is damage over time, trynd may leave the fight but die to poison when his ult wears off. The advantage singed has over malphite is that games are not decided by his ult (less pressure on u), has a better split push and deals more damage overall but, he gets kited very easily by champs like vayne.
