Dear rito, today, u released the patch note for patch 5.22.

First of all, i wasnt happy for the remove of mana pot. BUT hey, i do understand the change and i knew u would compensate with base mana buff or mana regen buff on some champ.

The problem is that u try to make us forget a specific champion and that champ is my main. OH YEAH, I MAIN YORICK . of all the champion that need mana pot to lane , yorick is the one that need it the most. (pantheon too , that was a good buff) But u did not buff his base mana .

They didn't compensate his mana pool because he would just be straight up oppressive in lane, not only that, if you actually READ the patch notes you would know there's a refillable potion upgrade which also restores mana over time. Hes a strong early game lane champ, buffing his early game mana would put him over the top imo.

What is a Yorick? Is that another new adc item?

Yorick never can and never will ever be buffed to a state where he can be viable. There is a reason why both Yorick and Poppy are never on the Free Week champion list. Both of those champions are broken by design, and if anyone figures out how to make them good, they will be nerfed because their kits provide absolutely zero counterplay if they are ever in a strong state.

So, sit tight for the rework. Poppy, Taric and Shen are next in line, followed by Yorick.

RIP on Yorick, only restores mana on crits now.

The ironic thing is that Rito wants everyone to forget about yorick mori (until he gets reworked). I agree with this because as it stands yorick is incredibly toxic to lane against. He can zone almost any top laner out of cs and experience just by pressing e. When you do kill him you are almost always forced to run away from his ghost and get zoned even further (sometimes out of a whole wave or more.)

A little off topic, but the other day I played an ARAM and got Yorick in champ select. Another team member begged me for Yorick, saying they mained him, which i was fine with cause 1) I didn't really care for Yorick and 2) I got Ziggs.

Load screen starts up and I noticed two things that made me question his statement. 1) He had no skin which seemed odd for someone claiming to be a Yorick main. 2) His mastery level was 3 or lower since it didn't show on screen (I know you can't get any mastery from aram but I think it still shows if you are 4 or 5, please correct me if I'm wrong) so I looked him up. Not a single Yorick game.

TL;DR Someone lied to me play Yorick in aram.

Yorick doesn't need the compensation. Tear of the Goddess is nearly 100% first priority buy on Yorick, just about nullifying the nerf. And even if the nerf isn't properly nullified by Tear of the Goddess, then it at least tackles Yorick's toxic laning, which is needed.

I dont really main anyone but Yorick is one of my most played champions (easily one of my favorites over all) i dont have mana problems with him i just dont spam his skills i use them to harass or i last hit with them and they harass alone. first build tear of goddess into manasame mana problems solved i9m more conered about my second and 3rd items riot messing up. essence reaver changes makes my final build not able to stall out at high half mana for masemune's toggle and removal of ap on spell blade weakens w (already not reliable) harass (also some time the ghouls take up half their life span trying to figure out what to do riot needs to fix it) and lowering attack speed and ad lowers yoricks ad scaleing damage from ghouls spells and lowers yoricks dueling capiblities. also some of the dame points for jax cdr is nice on trinity but jax wants his ult passive to activate more and usually builds 40% cdr through other means even with that small amount of mana jax has mana problems and cdr early will only make them more apparent because of the loss of the initial damage from the ap for jax's w and q and later on his ult.
