Sion is broken.

I played a game against a sion today that was stupid. The guy literally just ran up to tower, regardless of where his minions were and hit it until he died and then kept hitting it with his passive after he died. We stopped him every single time but it didn't matter, every time his ult was up he could rush a tower and destroy it with demolisher, plus a steraks shield that covered his whole damn health bar. Long story short this guy ints and auto attacks towers the whole game, ends the game 3/11/2; he was 1/11 until the very last shove. This is ridiculous and there has to be a way to fix it. Theres literally almost no way to stop it he can literally int and win its dumb as H-E double hockey sticks. anyone else have this happen to them?

Hi there Wintson Sion is not broken at all , you just have to know how to counter him , as a tank he doesn't deal much damage , he can deal significant damage with grasp and w , so play by avoiding short trades , try to force extended ones , and if you play bruisers take conqueror against him , the true damage is helpful , depends on what you play but in late game your adc can just melt him. Some good picks into him are Darius and Fiora as they counter tanks in general and win extended trades really hard , some other champs that work as well , but are harder to execute here are Riven , Cho , Urgot and Irelia. Try to punish his weak early game and dodge his q's if possible. Some great items against him if you're top are item 3153 - really good counter against him since he stacks hp , item 3071 - easy reliable and cheap way to deal with his armor , a must have if you play darius or riven into him , item 3036 - great item for crit or lethality builds to counter his armor if he stacks it (300+) , and this is situational item 3091 but it helped me a lot when i played irelia and jax into him since it made me unkillable in a 1 v 1 while countering his 400 armor. As for runes conqueror is usually the way to go, cut down can be a huge help if you're playing something that's not very tanky. Hope this helps and best of luck! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Hey, Thanks for the reply. However the issue isn't in his lane phase or fighting him at all, I was easily able to beat him in any fight. However the issue is in the fact that if he chooses to suicide attack towers the whole game with or without minions he will still win, you can kill him over and over again but eventually he gets to nexus towers. If you only send 1 or 2 people to go kill him he will take the tower, but if you send more people you get hurt somewhere else on the map. do you see what I am saying?

excellent analysis. this int sion strategy blew up ~7 months ago due to some click bait youtube videos. it has died out since then but you still see it from time to time. in soloq it can be a real challenge unless you counter pick sion from the start. AP champions can get fed with item 1082 off his tower ints and should be able to dominate after that. also try shoving the minions hard, Sion usually wont suicide without minions and even if he does he wont be able to get off as much damage, since the tower won't be able to prioritize minions over his passive.

ultimately a good team will be able to beat him rather easily but because that is a rare occurrence at your elo (heh no offense), sometimes it feels impossible to beat him.

good luck in the summoners rift, and thank you devs!
