Hey guys I just bought a PC and this was one of the first games I downloaded and it's so confusing to start with is there any tips or tricks I should know when starting out I picked my first character as miss Fortune and have done the tutorial but I feel like the tutorial is very short and there is not much information on how to play, it really just gives you the basics and I'm getting destroyed in PvP, thanks anything would be appreciated

Find one champion you like and play the fuck out of him. When my friend started playing this game I recommended him Annie because she can teach you everything you need to know about the game and she's very much viable when you can play her.

Play bots until you feel comfortable to start playing pvp (in my case it was at around level 24 lol). And yes not only beginner's bot

Look up videos of players on youtube, Each role is different so look up gameplay videos of all positions to help find what you like the most. Right now is the preseason so a lot of people are playing weird champs for different positions. In the lower levels you will encounter some very toxic players! This is because Riot will ban people who break their player conduct policies. So the banned people make new accounts and are toxic on that account until that one gets banned. Once you get to level 30 you will encounter so much less toxicity. My advice to you it to mute and report toxic players you come across, do not reply to them because you yourself can get in trouble for retaliating. If you have any questions feel free to ask :)

Happy gaming and have fun! [slayer-jinx-catface]

/mute all at the beginning of every game

Don't wait too long before you start playing PvP. Riot has a smurf detection kinda system that does a pretty good job at keeping actual new players out of games with smurfs. If you level too high in only bots (probably around 10-15), you'll break smurf protection and not have a good time
