Playing Akali right now feels like playing Kassadin

Akali's current issues are a direct result of the community. Let me explain.

When she was re(worked)leased, she was unbalanced. That's a given. However, the community focused on the absolute worst aspect to have an issue with, and have run it into the ground since, making her the worst champion right now.

Here's what happened: players complain about her safety, Riot nerfs that safety, compensates her damage to equalize that out. What this means is that now Akali can kill everything faster, rather than having her (natural feeling!!) longer TTK.

Here's what should have happened: Riot brings down her damage, forcing her to rely more on the safety tools she has (some of the other QoL changes to her shroud were needed as well, such as not dropping targeted projectiles or regaining stealth so fast you can't click on her).

This would have fixed her issues from the start, making her a high skill-cap champion that is dangerous in the right hands, but only if you play her right, while giving opponents ample time to outplay her (as well as the natural counterplay of "make her waste her defensive tools, she's useless).

Instead, the unskilled community decided "frustration" was more important than balance, and so now we have a champion that was forced to be garbage, because people couldn't be bothered to actually improve.

The rework was a definitive failure. Add it to the pile of failures Riot has been pumping out since Season 8. Have they learned anything from their failures? It doesn't look like it.

Cant talk about Akali here or you will be ripped apart. The stance riot is taking with Akali is basically "the beatings will continue till morale improves"

I'm fine with akali being mediocre for a few patches tbh.

mfw Riot refuses to either revert her kit and rework her or flat out rework her again.

I thought Kassadin's power spike was level 6?

Unlike Kassadin Akali is a lanebully against melee and many if not most cant or could not even trade with her at all.... i havent followed her situation that closely after the last round of nerfs.

Kassadin? A huge softball pre 6 and only somewhat dangerous to some after that but generally still a huge softball until like 2-3 items.....then he suddenly evolves into a deathball if he is not behind by then.

I think akali is still strong vs melee and can still burst but her team fighting and split pushing took a huge smack
