Looking for some good advice.

Simple enough concept. Before the next season starts I've been steadily working my mechanics, even including outside sources (friends mostly) to help me work on some things I know I've been lacking. But I know there's more I can do, and so I'm basically crowd-sourcing.

What are things you could help me out with? Any information is helpful, criticism, theories, even repeated information has relevance. I can give you any info you'd like to have pertaining to my game play, I'll even get into a game if you feel the need. I have nothing but time on my hands and I have the motivation. The only thing I lack is scope. I like to have a good solid view of things to work on, and unfortunately that knowledge isn't just given to everyone equally.

Also, if you'd like pointers or advice from someone at my level (plat 2 currently) feel free to ask.

According to you, what big differences could you notice between low divisions and where you are now?

Players in my division and above I would say, know when to play defensively/passively, and when to be aggressive. Understanding the power spikes of individual champions and items comes into play a lot more where I'm at than where I was this time last year.

Another thing is knowing the synergies between champions. There are countless synergies that can develop each and every game, the higher you get in the ladder, you'll find that more and more players understand a vast majority of these.

Lastly, I would say that mechanical ability is better. This I tend to try and tag on last, mostly because your latency and internet can have a really big impact on your mechanical ability to play. But if you don't have those issues, then I would highly advise taking your champion into games against better players, friends. Or against intermediate bots, I still do to work on CSing under pressure or to check jungle pathing/timing of buffs and good ward locations.

Other than that it's just learning to play to your comfort picks enough times that you become consistent and reliable. Then branch out to what you're not comfortable with and work up from there.

Know when to play passive/ agressive, know your power spike; know synergies between champions; play against higher ranked players and train in custom mode. Understood.
