Well, keep in mind that while leveling beyond 30 does ensure you'll get some amount of blue essence, the RNG will differ the results each time. There are times where the amount will be negligible for me, other times, I feel like I've hit the jackpot. With how much patience I was required to give the old system, to be honest, has left me in a state where the patience required for the new system also feels negligible at best.

It was never designed to allow us to buy champions at a quickened pace. It was slow intentionally. Either you buy your way in, or get rewarded with your patience. The formula is different, but there results are the same.
