How to carry low elo?

I'm stuck in silver! Help! Are there any good champs or tips for carrying in low elo? I have trouble carrying even when im absurdly fed (I'm talkin' like 30 kills). Recently, I've been trying to roam a ton and help my team but the lane I babysit seems to lose most of the time regardless. (And please no troll comments like GET BETTER I'm looking for real tips)

You could play split pushers? Give cheesey builds like split push ezreal a try; hyper mobile/safe champions who build AD and attack speed excel in low ELO.

Who do you usually play, though?

Get good is a real tip tho.

You see, there's something that many people refuse to understand.

If you're good enough, you can carry low elo, but there are huge mistakes that people hardstuck in that elo make, and those mistakes can only be recovered from if the team puts the needed work. That's why for low elo players, it feels a lot like the team is pulling them down, when the reality is totally different. Most of the time, you don't know the mistakes you're making, because many times, they are subtle.

So yes, just get good.

Fort starters, download Blitz ( https://blitz.gg/ ). It's a nice tracking app, but it has 3 stupidly important features:

  • Build Import: it imports runes, summoners AND items in your LoL game, either the most popular, highest win rate or from a specific pro you like, and the shop also tells you how to level your abilities for level 1, 2 and 3, also in what order to max them.

  • Badges: Hook up your acc to Blitz, and after every game, you'll get good and bad badges. If you get a bad badge multiple games in a row, stop right and focus on that aspect until you no longer get that badge. If you get certain good badges too far in between games, focus on that aspect until you get that badge consistently.

  • In-game farm goal tracker: This thing is god sent. It gives you a target CS (be it raw number or CS/m) and then tells you how close/far you are from that target. The goal is set from the average of a rank of your choice.

Now for general tips, get rid of your ego. You're 20% of a team, if you alone can't carry and be the 1v9 machine you dream of being, just drop your ego and be the meat shield for whoever is fat and can carry you. Sure, dying isn't fun, but if your death wins the fight or the game, it shouldn't matter that you die. You can end 20-0-1 and still lose.

I searched you on Blitz, and just as the last guy who claimed "I'm the carry but my team loses the game", you do the exact same things badly, barely any pressure on the map, you focus too much on kills, no vision, your farm is crap, want me to go on?

Your general knowledge is bad, so don't pull out the "I'm a smurf" because if that's the case, go back to school and learn the basics of the game. You rely too much on kills, your pressure is bad, and that's your whole game plan. You don't play to win, you play to not lose, and it's a big difference.

YouTubers I'd recommend: Pro Guides, Skill Capped, Game Leap, Nastee and Challenger Replays.

Yes, it's a case of get good.

you are silver 2 with 34 games under your belt, you could lack experience to close games, getting fed and farmed is good, but you need to know how to wrap up a game. dont worry youre not stuck, you just need more experience.

Tryndamere you auto win lane, take him with hail of blades for freelo MasterYi people don't knwo what cc is in low elo DrMundo get Spirit Visage and Tabi and you auto win Lux Nobody knows how to fight her in low elo Talon roams everywhere and makes people rage

The best champions to get high elo without really improving too much are champs like

Tryndamere If you dominate your top laner you can just mindlessly push lanes, requiring the enemy team to send 2-3 to stop you each time. If you lose top lane you can still mindlessly push lanes and as the game progresses they will still have to send 1-2 players to stop you. Typically players won't know how to shut him down until mid plat (may be diamond now with how watered down ranked has gotten).

Other than that, I would say play a carry champion. Avoid tanks, enchanters or champions that support the team, climbing with such champions is extremely difficult because you leave the decision of winning in the hands of other players. Prioritize objectives and try your hardest to communicate with your team.

Are you getting more LP for winning than you drop when you lose a game? I ask because it looks like your maker rating might be higher than your rank, which would lead to higher gain than losses. If such is the case, you just need to maintain a roughly 50% win rate going forward and just grind out enough games and you will move up.

On the other hand it is pre-season and the rank ladder will soft reset soon. Don't stress too much about your rank or even winning and losing. Just focus on getting better so when the real season begins you can get higher easier.

Also thinking in terms of "carrying" games is overall detrimental to climbing because it stresses you out and makes you tilt, making it hard to think about the games you play rationally. Just focus on if you are playing well or not each game and work to fix any problems you find no matter how small. And I do not just mean problems is games you do poorly in, I mean even in the games you do very well in. Because there are likely plenty of issues even in them.

Furthermore climbing does not require lots of of carrying, just overall being a positive influence on your teams' ability to win on average and playing enough games for match making randomness to even out. Which is why support is the best role for climbing, it is very easy to be a positive influence on your team's ability to win in that role if you play traditional supports. It is just somewhat more of a grind than other roles as the extent to which your influence games is smaller.

As an experiment here is a recording of one of my preseason ranked game. Just based on the end of game stats {link to match history} it could be concluded I did very well in this particular game. However, I can find lots of errors in my game play from that game. Can you find them? If you can then you should be able to find issue with your own if you just look back at them closely unless you are unable to be critical of yourself.

Your question is not simple, and it depends on your lane, but I'll try to help.

First off, sometimes you just get fucked by your 'teammates', try to not get frustrated. You have to focus and always do your best.

Focus on getting your cs numbers up. Gold wins games. If you are 30cs up on your lane opponent thats roughly 540gold.

Keep in mind what your jungler is doing. If he comes to gank, try to make it worth it, bait, but be smart. For instance take a bad trade and let your jungle clean it up. If hes ganking another lane, back off so you don't get ganked when the enemy jungler knows he won't be counterganked in your lane.

Focus on where the enemy laners are. Don't rely on pings. Is mid missing? Is the enemy support missing? When did you see the jungle last, where is your jungle? Keep in mind that if your jungle shows on the map, thats a green light for the enemy jungle to gank too.

Focus on your decision making. Analyze risk vs reward. Analyze the results of your decisions, especially the bad ones. Think about how you could've played differently in order to not make the mistake- in order to not make the mistake again. Make sure you are learning every time you screw up.

Try to set vision and buy before you get into a fight. For instance if drake is up in a minute, try to push your wave out and back. This applies to any objective. There is nothing worse than needing to be at a fight but having a significant amount of gold in your pocket. Being in a fight where you haven't spent your gold is like a bait on your teammates, think of it that way. If you aren't ready to fight, tell your team, ping how much gold you have and tell them to delay the fight. That is asking a lot, but its all you can do. The goal is to have spent your gold anytime before you fight. Which also means controlling when you fight.

The more gold you have accumulated the more cautious you should be about fighting. Just because your enemy laner hasn't bought, doesn't mean the enemy jungler hasn't. He could be coming off of a buy and be ready to one shot you.

The more effective you are at analyzing yourself, learning/applying changes, the faster you will grow. League is extremely complex, there are always things you can be improving on. Be sure not to autopilot or you are just wasting time.

These are general things that will improve your skill regardless of champion or role. Meaning these are things that overall make you a better player, and will be the most effective at growing your collective skill. League is about math, execution and consistency, not feelings. Feelings are how you go 0/5 in five minutes. League is chess, not checkers.

Some other things:

Go for outplays, try to play aggressive and push your limits. Don't play safe unless you have to play safe, sometimes you don't have a choice.

Trade if you are going to die. Meaning if its a three on two and you are dead, but if you flash and get off one more auto you kill one of them, do it. Get the gold. This also applies in a situation where you are going to die but teammates are on the way, use all of your abilities to give your 'teammates' the best chance to clean up if you can't get out.

Always work on thinking ahead. For instance if you are low under turret, but the enemy is pushing in a huge wave and you need to stay. Ping your jungler for help way ahead of time when you know its coming. You need to be looking 20-30 seconds ahead on waves. A minute on major objectives like drakes.

Mute everyone. Riot only penalizes you for talking, so don't, use pings. Fuck chat.

Depending on your role, peel your carries. This will win you tons of games. When teamfighting there are two methods, engage and protect. Engage is when you try to start a fight, protect is when you try to peel a fight. For instance an engage would be amumu going in and ulting the enemy team. Protect would be standing on your adc as mundo because you know the enemy has a talon. Play teamfights according to your teams strengths. If the enemy has a lot of aoe, you want to fight out in the open. If you have a lot of aoe, you want to fight in small spaces. If they have sneaky assassins you need to protect your backline. If they have hooks/picks/rundown you need to focus on vision control, so on.

Thats enough for now.

It's so sad to say, it really is, but literally. All you can do to get out of silver is to get better. This is NOT a troll comment; There isn't a single thing that anyone here can tell you because we don't know what, how, where, when (in-game time) you're playing. This is a just-for-instance, but this is why Shiphtur stopped doing op.gg and VOD reviews (for money) for players, because he said it felt like a scam. Like, there's nothing general at all to say other than... ward more? cs more? objective control? Things that only you yourself can gauge because no one else is playing those games but you. And it's almost never the same between games.

To that end, I'd say watch high elo streamers, preferably challenger players who interact and talk in their streams, and watch your own games. Replays. As much as you can. Wins, losses, all of them. Do NOT emulate streamers or high elo players. Learn WHY they do what they do. That's about as specific as I can get.

Identify the teammates that seem like they know what they're doing and help them, hopefully you can carry together. This is what i do as a jungler. Sometimes you are just screwed though, if you are the only role on your team winning its probably gonna be an L.
