I cant understand how champions like poppy and maokai can deal so much damage and yet dont feel nothing at the same time . I trully believe something went wrong with them

That's nice.... but it also shows you are bronze level.

What point are you trying to make? Diamond players know that Maokai is not a source of DPS. Look to Kha Zix or Katarina for that.

he can do damage and a lot of it.. and i have beaten a diamond ranked player 1 vs 1 as maokai too ...

im not BRONZE you have to play rank to be bronze

and i have reached as high as gold. and been silver as well...

i have one account that has a gold mmr right now

i dont play rank at all any more dont care to.. and i have beaten a diamond player 1 vs 1 on maokai ...

i know longer play rank...

in season 5 i had an account silver and an account in gold

i havent played a rank game since season 5

just cuz you dont play rank dont mean you dont know how to play or know about the game

lol its not anecdotal mao is very able of doing high amount of damage...

whether or not you play him that way is up to you...

the person im commenting to said it was a lie that he cant do it... i and i provided more then one example and have many more of doing it

if you have just 180 ap on him with max rank in W his w does 13% +6% of a targets maximum hp as magic damage thats 21% damage based on max hp of target... lets say the target has 2000 hp it will do 420 magic damage before magic resistance and the fact that the is tanky as hell... and has short CDs he can use his W most likely on a target twice in one extended fight... not including the rest of his damage .. that alone would be 840 damage on tank plus his Q , ULT, E, autos sunfire and so on

my typical build top lane is

item 3027 item 3068 item 3065 item 3025 either item 3111 item 3047 depending on team comp im facing and if it gets late enough item 3151

in the game where i did 75k damage to champs my build was

item 3027 item 3075 item 3151 item 3068 item 3025 item 3020

i went 18-8-19

i get that as well... and im not saying you are wrong.. but to say you cant do damage and be a kill threat with him is wrong.

the landries works well with his entire kit... the magic pen, the %hp damage that is doubled to any impaired target ( his entire kit procs this ) the hp, the ap... an the magic pen makes sunfire on him do more damage... and if you get thronmail it helps with the damage reflected cuz its magic damage

iceborn gauntlet due to cdr , mana, aoe slow, armor , and he has really high base ad and with the proc of sheen if you combine autos when you proc it you do bonus damage based on based ad ... then the slow helps stick to targets more to allow more time for sunfire to burn...

i typically run attack speed reds, armor quints , hp per lvl seals and mr per lvl blues and a 12-0-18 set up

which is fine there is no exact way you HAVE TO PLAY A CHAMP regardless of the role...

but at least you can see im not talking out of my ass...

and see the logic and how my builds syngerize with mao and his kit and how maybe i give up 15% of being a full tank... for that threat of being dealt with...

i have played him as a main for 3 years now... i can play him top, jng, mid, support all effectively but his best role is top. is it for every one ? no? is it how i like to play him and i have success on him ( 61% win rate so far since reset in preason )was higher has a few games where my team couldnt do anything and i out damage my entire team and we loss. it was as high as 69%

and as far as 49 out of 52 top is cuz most will play him full tank like you described ... but you can still have over 3200 hp , have ap, over 200 armor and over 150 mr and do lots of damage and be a tank

hmm a champ who has damage reduction , healing... hard cc .. % hp damages and who are tanks

tanks do damage by 1 out living every one else there fore are alive longer to inflict their damage

2 having high base damages

3 having items that empower there base damage ... for example item 3025

They actually don't deal a lot damage, they just can take more than you can and outlive you. They general have high base damage so that you aren't hitting your opponent with a wet pillow the whole game and generally can 100 an opponent when they themselves are ahead where they gain more AD, AP, and more points into their abilities with more items.
