okay okay, so why is it that i was plat 5 and then did my placements for the pre season and got gold 3, climbed up to gold 1 80 LP and then go RE placed in silver 1? This is not okay no matter how you look at it. And yes i won my extra placement game, riot this is ridiculous.
Lord Desert1 votesBecause of the MMR mismatch in Flex Queue, you got reset to the original starting point (pre placements). But remember this is only Preseason, the rank you accomplish now WILL BE RESET AGAIN! The rank you get in preseason does only influnece the placement in Season 7 to a SMALL extend! (only your starting point in season 7 is affected by Preseason ranks) Sidenote: 1-2 Tier drops are completely normal in preseason.
I.E.: You were Plat 5 at the end of the season, were placed high Silver after placements, now got placed low Silver. If you now climb to Plat again, you will then only be placed in low Gold at the start of Season 7!
So dont worry to much about the current placement!

Lord Desert1 votesNo, it should not screw you over! This rank only affects your starting point in season 7 and even then only affects its a little bit. The placements when season 7 starts will be more important then the rank here, but it could give you a head start/bonus if you climb to a higher rank. But i cant guarantee you that, cause im not from riot :D
