Leave Buster Incentive problems

I am a little salty connection was lost in the middle of a game. Never happens to any* other game I play, but w/e. So I reset everything log back in. This takes total of about a few minutes. Team is still doing well we end up winning the game. Yay... Then I see a grayed* out -20LP Did I lose 20LP even if we won the game?? This seems very counter productive. I mean if that's the case what's the incentive to try and reconnect and win? If Riot is concerned about BOTS you could always try linking the name on a credit card to the actual account. This would create a more fair* ladder system, and prevent smurfing. That's another side issue. Right now mostly concerned about the possibility of lost LP.
