Aurelion Sol's play rate keeps dropping after (mini-)rework

Three patches have passed since Aurelion Sol was reworked. Since then his playrate has dropped from 1,4% to 0,9%, decreasing every single patch (according to https://u.gg/lol/champions/aurelionsol) despite the additional 65hp buff. Now his playrate is just as low as before his rework and may decrease even further, if the current trend continues. One of the reasons for that is that mains gave up on the rework by now and stopped playing him. Considering that his popularity did not increase and his winrate is still quite high (52.2% in 9.20 and 53.7% in 9.19), the rework did not solve any of Aurelion's "problems". Instead it made many mains unhappy without providing any important balance-changes (like the rework to Ryze and the nerfs of Aatrox). So, what really is the point? At this point, a revert of the rework might be the best option of preventing the champ from dying.

Riot: makes Asol a wonky burst mage. Players: mains stop playing him and new ones aren't gained. Riot: https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/431/201/40f.png

The fact that Garen jungle is currently picked more than Aurelion Sol in the mid lane just goes to show how much they truly ruined this champion.

Aurelion Sol is the perfect example of what the fuck is wrong with Riot. They want every single champion to be able to burst someone in .5 seconds. Aurelion's "rework" failed because they literally removed his identity. The whole point in playing him is poking with W. Now you just burst people so his core part of the gameplay is gone.

When will Riot realize that they are fucking destroying their own game?

I got interested in Sol's gameplay in aram and started to play him on SR as well right before the rework. Now he feels quite different to play and less appealing compared to other options imo. The removed passive on E also feels horrible imo. Not being able to generate a large Q without using E, which is kinda unreliable, defeats the point of Q growing in the first place, doesn't it?

I dont understand why they changed him at all. I didnt feel he was problematic. He had a unique playstyle which made him a some what niche apart from mains who liked the way he was. Like, what was the goal of the rework even?

They should scrap Asol and release Ao Shin. That was a cool concept compared to this slow space dragon whose abilities are so unsatisfying.

Just give us back our old Dragon!!! You dont need to change something for the masses. Whats the problem with a champ that only a few play? i dont get it. They destroy game diversity for a few bucks on Champ Skins? There will always be people how dont wanna play the same shit as everybody else. We want to be different and you just took that possibilty from us. For nothing. Thx Rito.
