How do I exit Bronze?

InquisitorOfWar··1 votes·304 views

Hey guys.

I somehow got to 96LP, then all of my games went to crap. What role should I play? What champs are recommended for Bronze league 5? Bronze seems like quicksand, each time I move too fast, I get dragged deeper into it.

Do you guys recommend: Fizz, Xin Zhao, Jhin and Teemo for Bronze? I'm M5 with all of them. How do I get out of bronze if everyone feeds? It seems like you're either placed with a very good team or extremely bad team, there is no in-between usually. Don't get me wrong, I do get killed a-lot in games, but they usually are a radiation from already fed champs.

I have no idea how to leave Bronze?

Thank you, this is a very informative.

How do I know which champion is difficult? I know there is a difficulty bar, but for example, Fizz has 3 difficulty although hes a pretty easy champion. I already have Karthus, so that's a bonus. I'll play him too.

Do you think I should master Katarina and Karthus for mid? Jhin and Vayne for Bot? Teemo for top? Kha for Jungle? How does this sound, do you think these champs do have carry potential and are quite easy to get the hang of?

Stay in bronze it's safer there... But if not learn a champ that can carry an entire team like kat. Or just pay someone Smurf and duo with you so they can carry u

Split pushing is the easiest way to get out of Bronze.

Split pushing is not always the solution. I've lost a good number of bronze games because my top laner said just that. It's knowing when to split push.

ViciousSummoner1 votes

It's already implied when you say something like so. It's not like I'm telling OP to be Singed and just proxy farm inside enemy base all game and do nothing else.

sarii fox1 votes

It's not really implied, like I said before there are plenty of people who actually believe split pushing is is a good thing no matter the situation. But now that you've clarified, you clearly are not one of those people.

Hey. My advice is to stop playing ranked for like a month or two, and focus on learning 2-3 champs in normals, play those champs and only those champs (yes, might get a bit boring at the beginning, but in the end, you want to win, right?)

There is no miracle champ to get you out of B5, as all champs can get you out of there. Playing a few champs for 2 roles, + 2 supports every once in a while is your golden ration. Recommendations from me would be like this:

  • Top: Tryndamere/Garen
  • Mid: Annie
  • JG: WW/Tryndamere
  • Support: Janna/Soraka

Focus on learning these 6 champs, with more focus on the first 4, and you will get out of Bronze and even Silver without too much issue. Trust me :p

As a final advice, don't listen to players who tell you to "/mute all", yes that works if you are much better and can solo carry, but since you aren't, you need to see the chat. Not to tell people to do stuff, but to tell them to calm down if shit happens. For example, someone makes a mistake, quickly type an "it's ok, mistakes happen, no worries" and stuff like that, someone goes sad, type a "no worries, we got this", even if you don't believe it.

At low ranks, you lose the game when your team stops believing they can win, so if you can keep them motivated and calm, you can win more than you lose, and will have better teams. That's what I do, and yes, I get the occasional troll and idiot, but by doing this, I get consistent winstreaks of +6/7 (most recent being +11) and rarely get lose streaks of 3.

TL:DR - Keep your team calm, focus on the mistakes enemies make, not your allies, focus on a few champs.

Hope this helps

Awesome, thanks a-lot for writing this! I will try to calm down when trolls feed, but sometimes it's hard to keep cool - especially people who troll when they get support instead of dodging...

Glad to see you want to get better.

Sadly, no and no. Yes, they have carry potential, but as I said, anything can carry you out of Bronze, regardless of role. The champs you listed aren't that easy to play and require advanced mechanics and would take too long to learn properly. Yes, you can have easy games, but the thing is, you need to focus and make sure as many of your games are "easy" as possible, but if you play those champs, for a good amount of games, you won't have easy games, quite the opposite, you will have hard games.

Focus on the ones I listed, they can get you to high gold if you learn them properly. Here's why:

  • The ones you listed have their own mechanics or other things they need to focus on (Kat's daggers, Kart ult, Jhin bullets, etc), so they can distract you from what's more important: Macro play.
  • The ones i listed have no special or complicated mechanics/combos. You just smack people, so you can focus on what's more important: Macro play.

Macro play if decision making, what you do, where you can go to help the team, etc. So if you play the ones I listed, they kinda force you to learn to be better at macro play because their kits are simple, so there are no complicated mechanics that win you the game. It will be you and your decision making, but most players in bronze don't have good decision making, so if you improve there, you will win more. Yes, you will be called "brain dead", but who cares? You win because you have better decision making, while they try to win with flashy combos.

Focus on the map? Free Baron? Take it. Free Drake? Take it. Need to split push? Do it. Need to team fight? Go there.

Those things are easier to learn on simple champs than on stuff like Kha, Vayne, Kat, Kart, Jhin, etc. That's why I listed the champs I listed.

Don't listen to other players who say "you need to play X to get out of bronze because you always get idiots", play what you like. Yes, I gave you advice on what to play and why, because they will help you get better as a player, instead of at a champ.

If you get better at Kat, and learn how to win lane, manage daggers, etc, you will have problems when you don't play Kat, because you still have that macro play issue. But if you learn mid with Annie, and have good macro play, it will be easier to learn Kat later.

TL:DR - the ones you listed do have carry potential but aren't easy to pick up and play correctly, so your carry potential is hindered by that and you will have little to no impact unless the enemy is idiot. The ones I listed will help you get better as a player, which is what will help you climb. But in the end, play what you want, but don't focus on champs that people say "these champs will carry you because they are hard to deal with", like Vayne/Kha/Kat, etc. Plus Kat might get another nerf next patch, so let's wait and see what happens.

Feel free to ask me anything you need*[slayer-jinx-catface]*

I'm getting a-lot of solid info on how to improve. Like some of the stuff you say, like even the basic stuff: take drake, etc. I don't do because I simply forget about them. Especially when I jungle, I might take the first drake at like...15-20 mins, although I'm powerful enough to do so much earlier. The stuff you say seems like common sense, but I totally forget about those macro plays - majority of bronze do as you said, the enemy team isn't much quicker.

Also, as you said, I feel like I do little impact on champs I don't really know but play. For example, I was fed as Syndra a while back, and I didn't know how to use her potential.

IP Masquerena1 votes

Exactly. So it's better to learn how to have impact first and foremost, then focus on other things.

I know it's basic knowledge, but it's the most important. Learning lane priority and how to gank properly, enemy jungle timers, objective play, things that are most important are what low elo players don't consider. "You killed my Azir with Annie, you noob no skill champ", but while they focus on flashy plays, you win the game.

When you get the macro play right and you can do so each game regardless of role and champ, then you can start focusing on harder to play champs, but until then, learn the game correctly and you can climb. You'd be surprised how many players have macro problems even in gold :p

EDIT: If you want, I can give you some links that will help you quite a lot, because of how the players doing them explain things, and I added you on my EUW acc, can make things easier to talk :p

Actually I am very envious of you. Because I want to stay in bronze 5 forever. All Fun Games In Bronze 5

InquisitorOfWar1 votes

Feel free to swap...I have Lux supports with 5/0/0 scores whilst ADC is 0/4....Junglers which never gank, Top laner which feeds and then flames the team, and the brainless midlaner which has exhaust and teleport...

Once again, FEEL FREE TO SWAP!

You need to solo-carry games. Pretend that most players of your team are 3 years old babies, play things like MasterYi jungle (or even mid), Draven / Vayne bot, full AD JarvanIV jungle, (yes eww about this one but) Yasuo

For top I'd advice you to go for Heimerdinger Tryndamere (someone who can permanently push and has no problems to 1v1 / 2v1), for bot, yes Vayne is a good idea but Jhin is kinda support reliant during his laning phase, so if you have a premade support, go for it, otherwise I'd tell you not to.

Katarina mid is a good idea if you know how to roam once you're ahead of your lane and take advantage of it (and really fun to play / master, you always learn new tricks with her), about Karthus , not a good idea imo but I don't play this champ at all, so can't tell you here.

About jungle, something who can add a lot of pressure early in the game and are safe if they invade the enemy jungler, things like Shaco Jax LeeSin (because most bronze players don't know what to do anymore once they're behind). Khazix can be good if you know what you're doing, if not, don't
