I think the discussion of how long games should last is interesting to say the least
As you can see, many people have been complaining (for quite a while) that games are too short. I tend to agree with this general idea until we get to the idea of how certain champions are balanced. For instance, if a team were to get ahead early, I believe they SHOULD be able to end the game early. Now to counter balance this, if the losing team plays well, they should be able to come back/stall the game till the other team's advantage is nullified. I think the real complaint people have, is that it is TOO difficult to come back. However, it also should not be too easy to come back. If say
Pantheon is in a game, he shouldn't have to always get to late game, where he falls off in effectiveness dramatically. Or say, we don't want
Tristana to be mandatory because every game goes to late game. I remember a time where the meta consisted of
Viktor being very powerful for his ability to stall out the game. I believe that is not an unhealthy strength, but if it is too overbearing, games just become... boring. For the first 25 mins nothing really matters and lanes become a farmfest. Then one teamfight decides the game. Some people may prefer to play that way but I think the majority of the player base does not. I think we should not just whine and gripe about games being too short, but we need to actively help improve the game by giving our feed back on how riot can balance the amount of time games take.
