Are we getting new masteries? it is a new season?

New Season. Same masteries.

There may be changes later on if deemed necessary.

Yes Riot please give us new masteries. Just about any role has a specific set of masteries, that nobody really strays from. I think it would be good to make them a more customizable aspect, similar to runes. Like maybe there should be 6 columns instead of three, like Physical, Magical, Armor, Resistance, Mobility, and Utility, and you would get 2 points for each level, so 60 points total. I also think that there should be more noticeable effects to each mastery, or at least a final pick, as the offensive last point is pretty useless and so are most of the defensive ones. So basically, I would like masteries to be more specific to each champion, and more influential to the game.

Is it really? I thought it would be cool to not have just one set of masteries for each role. Nearly every tank will get the same points in 9/21/0, every jungler 21/9/0 or 21/0/9, every mage 21/0/9, every support 9,0,21 or 0,15,15, every adc or assassin 21/0/9. It all seems so uncreative to me. There is some more difference in runes, but everything is so standard and meta and normal. It's just boring!

so far i dont see reason why we need new masteries they seem to be good to me but unless something that needs to be change than i wouldnt mind it maybe defensive could be spruce up a bit for junglers now since riot h8s junglers
