Patch 6.24 says Season 7 starts, but it still shows my rank on the client profile.
Just like the title says. So did Season 7 not actually start yet and starts sometime later during this patch?

Well first off the patch hasn't actually hit yet. It's that ~24 hour period where the patch notes are up but the patch issn't quite live.
While they didn't give an exact time the new season starts (maybe it won't be live immediately with the patch), they doing a live stream showing rioters do their placements tomorrow which certainly implies the new season will be a go by then.
