I am still waiting for Taric VU. or at least new splash art.

taric was one of the first VU's and with it he was given the MJ treatment. Fifth age taric is the only reminder we have left of what he used to look like.

I pity whoever gets that update. He's has an ... outrageous non-canon identity that risks getting stepped on with any VU/Lore update if it's ignored.

Actually, with all the "progressive champion design" Riot likes to tout on their female champions as of late, I would LOVE to see them tackle that part of Taric's "additional" identity tastefully. Gauntlet is thrown RITO! Give us your first Gay champion! Write it into the lore without upsetting the sensationalism gods and tastefully include purple gems into his fabulous outfit without being accused of stereotyping!

They most likely still polishing his gems. -Pun intendet . :D

I personally hope he's not on the TU/Splash Art Update lists and ends up with something all to himself like Singed.

Considering that we're getting splash arts by the ton each PBE cycle, I think we can assume he'll be getting a new one in the near future, unless they're holding out for his VU.

Which is fine with me. Though his current splash isn't of the same quality of newer splashes, I've always felt it conveyed the right emotion.
