Disable minimap Aiming

Currently, we can disable the ability to click the minimap to move.

However, we seem to be unable to disable the ability to cast a spell by clicking the minimap, or remove the ability to aim using the minimap. This can cause issues for some players. Would there be a way to enable such a feature?

EDIT: I'm not even making this thread cause I have had this problem, it's for a reddit thread where people whined about it being a bug.

Such as DisableMiniMapSpellClick=1 in the config(doesn't work btw).

While that is funny, I kind of wonder what the fuck Lux's mouse is doing over the minimap when full combo/auto stringing you. Like how do you whiff your click that badly?

You could happen to find yourself in the bottom right corner of her screen, for example.

I've mained Immobile Mid Mages since S2 when I started. I have literally never once accidentally clicked on the minimap when trying to cast a spell on somebody. Is… is this a thing? I mean I'll believe it, since I use the arrow keys to move my screen and am not flinging my mouse to the edge every single time I want to adjust. I just feel compelled to ask.

Not only is this a thing, a lot of people think it's a bug when it happens to them.

They are quite silly, but it hasn't ever messed me up either.

And it only works with some abilities. Basically anything with 1400+ range will have it as an option.

It didn't use to be a problem for me but now it will happen to me as I try to Thresh-hook. I don't think it used to do this but now it will do it on all skillshots. While I know I should play more with unlocked screen I still have my screen locked a lot of the time and the minimap blocks my screen. Sometimes it's even worse with unlocked screen tho. You put it in the down right corner to move it and when you get your screen onto the enemy you press q or whatever and it shoots the completely wrong way. Did they change the range thing so it works differently? I didn't see it in the latest patch. I cri erry tiem this has messed me up a lot this patch even though most my games went well anyway.

Never happens to me either, though, I occasionally mess up move commands, since I use the mouse.

I have a problem with Sol / Velkoz ults going backwards because I mouse over the minimap when aiming it. It's super annoying and makes you look retarded. Would love to be able to click to move but not aim.

i don't really have this issue very often because i don't use a locked camera. but i remember nidalee's pounce used to have a similar issue it used to always pounce in the direction you were facing instead of your cursor direction. and there were many times where i felt REALLY stupid becuase it would make a completely horrible pounce becuase of this.. so i know how you feel

so +1 to remove issues like this

Maybe there should options to turn it off on your the different kinds of spells? Not sure how it would work, but in the settings, there would be options to turn off minimap clicking for Skillshot and global abilities. That way you can still keep it on whenever you have a global ult champ, and it will be off for skillshots and other things like Lux ults or Nidalee pounces. If it proves to be too much if Riot does try this idea, maybe they should just automatically code abilities that need to be altered in this way.

Never sure if it's worse to make a double topic or to resurrect and old one. But yeh, this feature I would love it. Messed up a number of Taliyah and Sion ulties because of this. Happens once in a 1000 games perhaps, but can be pretty gamechanging for that game.
