@Riot : You did it with the unbalanced turrets across the map, now this???

When will you learn that you do not need to fix a non-existing problem? When will you learn that changing for the sake of changing is hella bad?

It happend before, it is happening again. You previously did it with the stupidly unbalanced map (bot turret being weaker than mid and top turret for absolutely no valid reason) now : Behold! The new random gates!

The game did not need a new option to defend. You just killed mid-late game rotations. Here is how :

  1. ** It is so much easier to flank pushes now with those 2 new gates.** Before, you could keep an eye on the 2 other exits that you were not pushing, now you have 4 (FOR NO REASON). Thats not even talking about having to place pinks there to detect champs like Rengar and Evelyne. Some champions are going to be op because of the gates and I believe you will nerf them to oblivion because they "suddenly" became op?

  2. ** The risk of rotating is now nearly not worth (if not, not worth) the reward it would provide. **It is way more risky to brilliantly rotate between mid and top and bot and mid. With the addition of the new gates, a defending team can braindeadly, without any counter measure possible, go out of the gate, burst someone down and simply go back through the gate, how stupid is that? And Blitz players will sure love watching their targets walk back into their base :)

  3. ** Closing games are literally harder to perform than a comeback nowadays...** A team that is defending literally put themselves there. I am not talking about a player QQing because he has 4 other players on his team that he can not control. I am talking about the team as an entity. That team, literally put themselves in that situation, they have no one else to blame but themselves, if they missed the powerspike of their teamcomp, too bad for them, they deserve the lost. Stop giving players FREE ways to comeback in the game. If you do not want to be in that situation then work your way through it.

  4. Watching a team push a lane is freaking boring, watching a team outmanoeuver another team is really exciting. I feel that with this new unnecessary addition, you are literally pushing players towards this "push lane, recall, push lane, recall, etc." way of thinking instead of "how am I going to outrotate them? How am I going to be smarter than them?"

  5. Flashing over the wall to wombo combo was a viable strategy for AoE comps. Now guess what, the team can just walk through the gate and tadam! You are stuck on the other side... and if you ever get out? Tadam! They just walked back into their base! Ridiculous!

Please enlight me as to what benifits would compensate to those problems you literally just created for fun because you wanted to change something?

Honestly I could counter this entire post by simply saying teh team doing the pushing should be warding the jungle near the lane they are pushing and problem solved.....

I don't understand how such a big change was done now instead of early in the preseason.

What's the point of the freaking preseason if one of the major changes which can have huge subtle impacts on the game will go untested?

The gates to your base can only be passed by your team, the enemy team still has to flash over, they cannot pass through the gate. And holding true, the enemy gates can only be passed through by the enemy team, your team cannot go through them but must flash, dash, blink or jump over.
