I am writing this post from the viewpoint of someone who started playing lol during worlds season 6 and may hold certain bias because of thisViktor .

When i First started playing back in season 6 things seemed alot simpler and more fair champions and runes where in a better state although people will argue about certain metas they do not like Tank meta, ardent, etc one thing i don't think anyone can argue is that the balance around new champions and the thought process in making them after season 6 is extremely flawed.

It seems that after the release of camille everything with the exception of a few reworks is just Riot thinking how to create broken overloaded Champions with overloaded kitsIrelia Akali Aatrox Zoe Kaisa in my opinion are the biggest offenders everything nowadays has to be super mobile with broken gimmicks in their kit mobility use to be a commodity that a champ would have to trade for something else.

Take for example kaisa why is it ok for her to have an attack speed/movespeed steroid, invisibility, ultimate with massive range and shield and to top it off the ability to go AP AD or hybrid all in one kit or zoe for example mobility, one shot potential with minimal effort, ability to pick up other people sums or get free items or sums in lane for some reason even her w gives her move speed.

The list goes on and with champs like syalls coming out there seems to be no end to it for me an OG Viktor player it seems like we are a remnant of the past sure does feel nice to use my ulti on someone and have it chase them down at the speed of a fat kid with Asama trying to run after the icecream truck just to have them with minimal effort get away.

My point being that what place do old champions have against a constant threat of becoming obsolete to every new champion that gets released everything Riot release nowadays is over tuned out of this world in comparison to champions of old, these are my thoughts i would like to know what others thinkViktor .

unfortunately hypermobility and overloaded kits are the standard of balance, pretty much ever since Yasuo released. Most old champs are just waiting for their reworks to bring them up to par.

I think Ezreal is the perfect example of what the trade off should be for mobility. These new champions just don't have that tradeoff.
