There is so much wrong in ranked

I've been unsuccessful twice in my s4 series in ranked. I take my fair share of the blame, learn from my mistakes and try to play better and keep a calm head. But in each of those losses i have had the worst ranked experiences. I go into the game hoping maybe i can jump to s2 and end the game asking myself why would anyone put themselves through another one of those games? ( Does gold really matter that much?)

In my last game for my s4 promo's i had a duo bot. They were made up of a unranked and a bronze 1 (if bronze and silver take up almost 75% of the player base why cant riot match me with ppl atleast in silver?).

I had a top lane riven who did the typical 'tries to trade with darius, feeds first blood and thinks she might be able to out duel him again and again... Needless to say whenever i am not sitting top (with my amazing lvl 3 ww ganks) she is trying to trade aka feed darius again. By the 10 min mark she afks for a bit..

So here i stand as jungle ww, trying to jungle and stop darius from winning by himself. Meanwhile bot is complaining about me for my lack of ganks and doesnt even report the riven who is afk in ranked -_-.

The road to gold is full of wonderful memories.

I gave up, I have school work to do and girlfriends to attend to.

I've been every where from s1 to s5 then back again.

I guess I'm just a silver player.

honestly ranked is luck

ive fought to gold, took a bit but finally got here

to watch as many as i have just obliviously walk under a turret in from on an enemy and go 100-0 or 100-20% is just amazing....

have fun in silver/bronze, stay there if you can lol as you go up everyone gets better and starts realizing how to play....except one person

9/10 chance he is on your team also

but then again your silver, you could always play some normals and fight diamonds and plats and golds in normals while u keep the silvers lol they might give you one gold to lol

bottom line, you dont know how good you have it (btw afks skyrocket once u hit gold)

Hey, I got demoted three times in one night, each demotion had I had an afk on my team, whom I'd assume had been disconnected from the servers. (there were a lot of server problems like this at the time, still are, but they've improved slightly) and in between games still had afk's

But oh well right, no losses prevented at all...

Long story short your MMR is lower than your Elo rank so it's placing you against slightly lower opponents to see if you still win. As as a side note, Silver 4 is basically no different from Bronze 1.

And sometimes you just lose, sometimes you get a rager. The frequency is extremely low, and everyone else gets them too, so it's not something where the game is picking on you.

If you're starting to think that it's your teams that are holding you back from gold, then you're right where you belong because you don't understand the game better than the opponents you're playing with.

If you're just upset about a rage quitter, then yeah, sucks, but it happens. We've all had them.

The best skill to have in LoL is patience. I was promo from B2 to B1 5 times before I finally got to S5 this week. 2 out of the 3 promo games to Silver we either had a 5v4 or someone on the other team intentionally feeding - so luck goes both ways. While I'm glad I won those promo games, they seemed a little hollow.

So i've given up on ranked, for this season at least. The only reason i played to begin with was for the gold rewards. And since i currently don't have luck or time on my side i've called it quits.

Thank you riot for the afks, trolls, and vlads that build thornmail second (no.. he never got a zhonyas in 50 mins).. Good luck to anyone still motivated to make the climb.

I stopped playing ranked entirely early on this season. It's not worth the frustration. My normal MMR is MUCH higher than my ranked MMR, so why even bother? In normals i consistenly play with and against silvers/golds and the occasional plat, and my teammates on average are much less retarded than in ranked.
