This really makes me question if continuing this game is even worth it? Why are new players who are not even level 30 yet being placed against Platinum and Diamond players?

It makes no sense .... I am too low level to join a ranked queue ... but I am not too low level to play against ranked players?

Getting dominated by the top 5% of League's player base is not fun for new players. My leveling experience from 1 to 27 has not been enjoyable. Not with the matching system that is in place.

Normal matchmaking is different from that of ranked. Those players don't often play normal so theirs is going to be lower and find some various levels/rankings when they do. This is been part of the game since the beginning.

Dont act all innocent kid. You'll quit the game just because Riot doesnt want smurfs stomping and ruining the game for actual new players? Is it so bad to keep playing MasterYi in the elo where you belong to? You should've noticed that your first normals were actual iron 4 level but then ppl suddenly started playing way better, this is because by winning all your first games you're proving you're a smurf and the system matches you with other smurfs as well. And the closer you get to 30 the more high elo players will appear
