Wait, hold on for a moment: Riot DISABLES champs in Aram!??! Can someone explain these two things to me: Why, and who? I honestly had no knowledge of this whatsoever, I thought the choosing was completely random and that you could end up with ANY champ you own!

Dude, I apologize if I sounded like a smartass. That's not at ALL what I intended. I was curious if indeed, Riot legitimately banned certain champs in ARAM. And I assure you, I will do all that I can to avoid getting involved in ranked, who the hell wants to deal with jackasses like the person I'm speaking to?

No, certain champs are not banned. You can get any of the ones you own+free week. The OP is saying that you should be able to roll any champ including ones you don't own so that people who make accounts just for ARAM (They only own nidalee, kog, lux, etc) just to have a good chance of getting OP champs will not be able to do that.

Nobody cares about a Platinum V asshole who can't deal with ARAM. Maybe if you could handle criticism you'd be able to deal with the people who smurf for OP champs. You're probably one of those idiots who calls for surrender in ARAM, or dodges when things don't go your way at champ select.

they still have to deal with the 10 free champs. can't tell you how many times I see evelynn getting rolled this week in aram. why would you make a new account just for aram? makes no sense.

So you constantly roll champions that are good in ARAM. Let's say you are a top lane main, so you own a lot of top laners. Playing ARAM would constantly give you melee champions which would make the game unfun. Solution? ARAM only account that only has Nidalee, Kat, Lux, Sona, etc...

That's insane. I normally can only do 2, maybe 3, before I get bored with it. Reroll counter is too slow. Actually have 2 now that I've been saving this week in case a team mate gets Evelyn, I can accept their trade and reroll her so we aren't 4v5.

I could see if it was a more challenging game mode, like CTF or something.. but how does one get their rocks off just playing aram all the time?

It's better than 5v5 SR at the moment, at least if you're not a Zed/Kalista/other FotM champ player. I haven't played normal 5v5s in at least a month, maybe 2.

Well it (to unlock all champs) is implemented in nemesis, which doesn't make any sense to me. So I guess I don't see why it shouldn't exist in ARAM.

Personally, I have a level 30 account and this one. Started this one because I originally couldn't remember the info for the old one. I cannot even fathom leveling another just for one game mode. Not unless I had the money to spend on constant xp and ip boosts.

Actually not all champs are unlocked. Recently played on my smurf and there were champs (namely Nautilus ) that I couldn't give them, but we got. They hadn't banned him and i searched for his name to no avail. Yet they were able to give him to us. I went through and found other champs ( Braum ) that we coulnd't give them thinking I was crazy and there was just a bug.

I have a theory that its either all the champs that your team has are listed or all the champs your opponents team has are able to be given. Obviously i can't tell without having all 10 people in chat knowing what each one has and doesn't have.

Also its a lot easier to lvl up an account when there are only certain champs that matter. The meta really won't change and there are certain things that win. Especially when you can play with or without runes, regardless of lvl, and stress is really low in terms of pressure to win. Its similar to people lvling up new accounts to only focus on those champs that are strong normally.

Interesting. So then we'll have another issue soon. People making nemesis/aram accounts, only buying champs that are good with one game mode (or champs that are good in both), and teaming up with people that have the other champs that are good in both modes that they don't have.

Enemy team will only be able to pick between good champs and the free ones.

That is a threat, but not for temporary game modes like Nemesis. IF it a was a permanent and there was a big following like ARAM then yes this is possible, but since its only temporary no one would raise an account that would be useless later on. Also low lvl accounts will already be able to manipulate it more than others.

Oh it's temporary. Didn't know as the idea of it seems boring so I haven't touched it. Having to play some champ I don't like for 45+ minutes isn't what I call a good use of time lol.

Then you really don't understand the game mode. Its not about playing "bad" champs. Its about learning new strats and how to overcome weird picks and still win. Its much more than simply playing champs that are rarely =played

It kinda defeats the purpose of All Random All Mid when half of the players' champion pools consist only of the so-called "OP" ARAM champs, such as Nidalee, Ziggs, Sona, etc. The champion pool should be the same for everyone in the lobby, and the simplest way to do that is to make ALL of them available.

the free champs dont necessarily ruin the accounts made for aram, they still have a higher probability of getting the champs they want. In addition to this, if they do not get something they like, they just dodge and log onto another account to try again. Glorious loopholes for time spent leveling up to 30 and getting op Aram champs.

I have all the champs and I only play ARAM. The roll system works pretty well most of the time.

Free champs ruin the "made an account specifically for ARAM" argument.

The fact that they have to make you want to get the champs somehow ruins the "they have no reason not to" argument.

You don't even need to enable all champions for ARAM. Just do what we do with featured game modes and choose a random champion from a pool of all champions owned by your team.

That would still give a huge advantage to teams full of ARAM accounts - one team full with nothing but ARAM accounts would have a huge advantage over a team of 4 ARAM accounts and one person with everything. While it would reduce the effectiveness of ARAM accounts, it would not eliminate it. It would also give premade teams of ARAM accounts an even bigger advantage because everyone other ARAM account in your premade reduces the risk of someone with an actual champion pool joining.

Free champs do little, ye they INFLUENCE it but if you got 20-30 top tiers you still have a huge chance to roll em+its not like all free champs are bad instantly.

I played over 1k in aram games...you tend to notice what the op has said about there being accounts specifically for ARAM and they can make the game rather...dull to see many of the same champions over and over again. Would much rather have all champs unlocked to make it truly random
