Balance the Normal games

Do it feel balanced? I dont think so.

And I don't know how the normal games match making is done but it should'nt be hard to fix it, it is? I mean you add every player elo example: 5bronzeIII/II(1000elo cfr lolking score) => 5000 average elo and you find 5000 average elo ennemies, like 4750 to 5250. Annnd without a gap of maximum 300 elo, same example => 4 bronze V (3200 elo) and a gold I/platinum V (1800 elo) => 5000 approx. Because it will be "balanced" but the poor guy bronze III/II that will be against the platinum V wont take any fun. So in my opinion: it doesnt look that hard to balance normal games and it is really important to game because nowadays I don't take any fun to play normal games because it wont be balanced (70/80% of the time) so we will stomp or we will get stomped, not even close games.

There if we look a bit, they are just 2000 or even 3000 elo ahead, dont even think like we could have won the game, we got stomped, and didnt took any fun out of that game. And most of the normal games are like that. There I feel like the matchmaking already decided that we will instant lose. Or didnt even do the effort to search for a balanced game...

No flame, not mad, just realistic and want the game to improve not only for me but the whole community that are playing normal games(which is a big part of the players I think, and even ranked players will come to play normal games to train and improve their skills because they know it will be a ~close game)

Do you agree/not agree? Or whatever, tell me.

PS: i'm not english native, I did my best.

im so over this game full of children, do you not know what mmr/elo is? you can be silver 5 and be paired with plats because if you are a challenger smurf that's crushing everyone in silver it's not fair that you keep playing silvers, every game you are matched up with another team with a combined ELO/MMR average, being gold 5 doesent make you better than a silver 5, it all depends on your last few matches, in my lvl 28 account im paired/facing diamonds because im winning more than losing, it evens out in the end you fool

Means i need to carry gold mmr against high plat mmr with a level 28 account (1 quint less, 1 important mastery less) with 50% normal game wins? You feel like it is normal? For real? And what about my mates? Why whould they face a player that is 1 whole league or more ahead of them? example mid: Gold V vs Dia III. Not even close. Anyways...

If Ranked and Normal elo are independant, that might be your problem.

It means that my Gold V mid can imagine dealing with the Dia III mid? No need to answer here it is: Zed ended in 5/10/4 & Tryn ended 20/3/2 ... But no problem if is independant :)

I just meant that I don't remember if ranked and normal elos are independant, but if it's the case, and I'm pretty sure it is, it can result in the situation you just described. I used to be Ranked restricted (it means that you have to do a fixed amount of game before you can queue in ranked again) and I just stomped 95% of the games, because even if I was diamond elo in Ranked soloQ, it didnt match me with equally skilled players in Normals, because I never do normal games. That's why I believe these two elos are independant.

It shouldn't that different, are you enjoying playing against gold/silver in normal games? And them do you even think it's funny for them? It's so bad... Ranked mmr should be quite the same as normal game mmr since it is exactly the same map/objectives/etc...

Indeed, this particular case doesnt seems to be ideal. I don't remember the reason behind separated elos. Zzzz.

Well, this has been a very much complaint topic already and as much as I disagree with the logic behind it, I'll give you the "official answer"

See, Normal games and Ranked games have their elo calculated independently. Meaning I could be a Diamond ranked player but if I only played normal games pre level 30, my normal game elo would be where I left it (silver or bronze). Now, if I queue for a normal game, they would take my normal game mmr (silver or bronze) and match it with other people who has the same normal mmr despite me being ranked diamond and they might be ranked silver.

And that, is why you have the match you showed. I don't like that match making, but until they change it, that's what it's gonna be.

Okay but which of us has a diamond normal game mmr? (I don't think they all of them have a silver/gold normal game mmr..) I'm level 28......... Unwinnable as f*ck... That's why I'm asking them to change that matchmaking :/

:( that is really unfortunate and im sorry to hear that!

However, just out of my own curiosity, were you queueing with friends? or just playing solo?

Im actually a diamond and whenever i play normal, im paired with bronze- gold people idk why....

I was playing with 4 friends...

Ah... See, it's from experience that I am saying this, but whenever 5 people queue together, the MMR is usually really messed up lol

I don't know how or why that is but that's just something i've seen.
