What the hell happened? I get flamed every game for not picking a certain champ, everyone is just spamming the most absurd of the absurd champions and refuses to try new things. Everyone gets upset when we dont ff because its urf.

The magic went down the drain. This is exactly why game modes are temporary.
URF has ALWAYS been like this. I have no idea why people plead and beg for this game mode to return.
It's really unfortunate, because URF has the potential to be one of the most entertaining game modes. But it's ruined by people who will only play the most OP strategies just to win - even in a silly game mode like this.
The magic left after a few games for me. People played it like ranked, and they still are. Ban OP things, OP things still get through, people spam OP things.
I really don't get the hype for it. Like I know everyone is just gonna downvote the shit out of me but I only liked this mode for about 3 games (Both times it showed up). After that it was just people spamming the most obnoxious champions in the mode. And if you say anything about it? "Lol this mode is for FUN. Wanna know what mode I had fun in? All for one. Me and 4 other friends played Gangplank and won literally every single game when we played him (And that was like literally 10+ games). Even if we lost on other champs, it was still fun. There were not too many champs that just absolutely ruined the game for everyone, at least,, not NEARLY as many as URF has.
That's just my opinion on it though I guess. I really don't get why everyone loves this mode. Maybe the ones that wanted it back for so long are the people that are spamming Ezreal/Fizz/Kat/Zed/Nidalee etc, so of course THEY have fun.
Pretty much, all my games have the usual: 
unless they are banned.
My friend keeps spamming Zed on URF and usually goes positive unless he falls terribly behind. Well, I won't mind it, problem is I don't want to go against a Zed that is even more mobile than before, and want to ban him (most of my champions are immobile). So when we do get to not go against Zed, he changes to either LeBlanc, Fizz or Ezreal. Pretty boring to say the least.
I was hoping to see Shen/Rammus top lanes, Lux/Morgana bot lane and more things you don't get to play on normal games but... :/
it was the same thing last year. just wait a couple days when everyone stops playing it.

Everyone keeps acting like URF was this great magical thing. Same thing that happens to every temp mode is happening AGAIN to URF.
When will you people learn you do not play games to lose? It defeats the point of playing the game, so people play to win.
I didnt get to play urf last year and after all the bitching and moaning on the boards i thought it was gonna be some god like game mode. It wasnt bad, but id defintly wasnt what people on the boards made it out to be -_- I honestly dont even like the game mode

This is why it'll never be a permanent game mode, even now that it's temporary they take it like srs bsns. People will always tryhard, all of my keks.

This game mode is suppose to be a fun mode, where no meta exists, and anything is game. Its basically "Here are a bunch of buffs, here is your beloved map, now go fuck shit up". That is how it was intended, and that is how I will play it. But of course you get your flaming try-hards who think the game mode matters (when really, it doesn't, your wins aren't even recorded on your profile). Hell, you don't even need to win a match to get the player icon, you just have to complete your first match of URF. Sure, you get IP, but if you want to farm IP go play ARAM or Co-op. If this game mode was meant to be taken seriously, it wouldn't be an April Fools game mode.
It´s what did happen the last time URF was around, and the particular reason why this is only a temporary gamemode...it´s just not fun in the long run (and not even on the short anymore as most people already found out what´s strong the last time around).

got yelled at by most of my team for going jungle in urf, may not be a popular pick but hopefully its not bannable as i was reported by everyone for going jungle >.>
Maybe if they buffed defense instead of only offense then it wouldn't be all assasins
