I keep seeing this icon next to characters and cannot figure out what it is, or what it means...?

Purple swirly thing :P

I've kept checking the debuff/buff icons of the champions but it is not consistent :( pls help! I want to know! lol

It's Jhin 's Deadly Flourish debuff. It means if he hits you with the ability you get rooted.

Thank you xD it was bugging me haha, im surprised it doesnt say that on the debuffs O_o

That Mark is used by Jhin.

When Jhin auto attacks an enemy or when an ally damages an enemy, it leaves that mark. And if Jhin hits a marked champion with his W, that champion get's stunned for a short duration.
