Champion Mastery Reset

Hello, everyone. As most of you know, reworks happen. To Katarina, to Fiora, to Talon, to anyone who's been reworked and will be reworked in the future. I've come across this problem for the second time now, and that's being able to reset your mastery on a champion once a rework happens. Different playstyle, different scalings, different champion to put it simple. I am quite, if not definitely sure that there's more of you that would like this to happen. I've seen people with 500k mastery points on the old Fiora, not willing to play her anymore after her relaunch as an entirely new champion, and willing to lock in a new champion. The same applies to me, as a "former" Katarina main with almost 310k mastery points. Any thoughts on this problem? I'd like answers from as many people as possible. Different opinions are always fun to hear. :)

I feel as if you should keep it as a memento.

Like it will make you think back to the old katarina days whenever someone says "Hey man why do you not play Kat?!?!? You have so much mastery on her!"

It will also add a dramatic backstory to when people ask you who your main is.

"Who is your main?"

"Well I used to main Katarina, but then Trump became president and ordered her to have more mobility"

many people don't want to lose all Mastery points they have gained and worked hard for.

they would have to get compensated at least.

i would cry if i would lose my 800k on Zed item 3070

I'm pretty sure Fiora was reworked before Mastery was even a thing.

And I can't really see a reason to delete mastery points anyway. Sure, you may not play them anymore for whatever reason, but the fact still remains that you DID earn those points.

Nah, she was reworked a bit after. I had like 50k points on her iirc.

I don't want the mastery anymore because it displays as one of the top 3 masteries on my profile. I want Kat's place to display another mastery 7 champion of mine that I actually play. We should probably just be able to pick our top 3 if we have more than 3 mastery 7 champions. What do you think of that?

I think being able to display what you want would be nice. A lot of other games have a "showcase" feature, would be nice to see it here too. Then you could keep your points too!
