Buff Supports. Not Blitz.

I was hoping once season six started I would actually be facing other support champs (as I main supp myself) in ranked but now, it's always been the same story. They pick blitz. There's at least 10 other great supports(Braum Alistar Janna Nami Bard Leona Lulu Lux Morgana Thresh ) they could choose from but it's always Blitz. I'm tired of knowing that i'm going up against the same champ constantly and have to now ban the guy because every person in ranked who picks support just thinks they'll be able to play blitz and win. But since I've been banning him, the supports on the other teams get crushed completely. Yeah it's great to win your lane and all but it takes out from the game having to face the same guy out of 100 other champs. Other supports need some sort of buff, big or small to increase diversity of champ select. I don't mind facing blitz it just gets really boring. I wish people who do end up playing support in rank have at least some skill in playing other supports instead of spamming q and hoping to get a hook. This needs to change.

It's probably partially because of the soft reset with the new season. Blitz is a popular choice if you want to outright win the lane for yourself in a flashy way. A good pick for trying to climb, when you know you're probably better than most people you're going to play against. Once these people level, they'll probably revert back to playing something else.

In the meantime, you can just play Leona or Taric and bait the Blitz into pulling you. Then make him regret ever pressing Q, because those two can punish him (or rather, his carry) pretty hard for it.

Just because one champ is popular does NOT mean the others are weak, and that they need to be buffed. I mained Blitz at one point and my favorite part about him is his potential to spiral his ADC to insane amounts of kills.
