Because there aren't real consequences on the internet. You can waste peoples time and not get really punished, maybe a temp ban or something, but you are still the same person. There is no way to fully fix this because it's the nature of being online. And it wouldn't be fair to stop a game mid progress because of someone like this, because the other team is also playing and is probably having fun that they are winning.

In real life people will gang up on the one person saying that what they are doing is "not cool", or the other team will find it unfun and pity you. But on the internet, no one cares and everyone can do what they want.

Much more often times than not, you aren't aware of people who are going to give up after first blood or if their blue is stolen or if the pre 10 minute score is 0/3 against you.

The fact of the matter is, is that he's completely right. One of the most frustrating feelings is being trapped in a situation like that because it is a compounding kick in the balls. To begin with, not only are you essentially "wasting" your free time by choosing to play the game, but in a situation like this you are losing so much more than a "match". The limited amount of free time you have is doubly wasted because not only are you committing 30 minutes of your time to this game, you are also gaining not just nothing by it, but also LOSING lp. Essentially not only is your time being wasted in this specific game, but it is undoing the progress you made in the previous game... in a way wasting however much time it took for THAT match as well.

Yeah. There really is nothing we can do about the assholes. Even reporting them doesn't solve anything because low and behold, they can make a new email and do this thing all over.

Unless you can target something much more permanent like an IP address of something (and I know jack shit about how this works) then you can't really punish people, rather you just inconvenience people.
