Lets talk about Bard
It has seem that the league of legends community has taken a huge liking to bard due to his huge self-mobility and play style. But alot of players complain that bard is underpowered and needs to be buffed. Personally I don't think bard needs any number changes to his base stats or abilities but i think he needs some tweaks here and there and raise his range or ms just slightly.
Q: Bards Q basically is a lux snare with a conditional mechanic of a Vayne condemn.This makes this ability extremely hard to use. Many of people have argued that it requires a high skillcap. But I have played this champion many times because I want him to be able to be played in solo que and even after about 30+games I still find myself in plenty of situations that where no matter what this ability is impossible to get the stun off in the small time frame that I need it. This Ability is the hardest thing to land in lane phase because if they are standing behind 2 minions good luck. But the most favorable times for bards Q in lane phase would have to been when the enemy adc or support is standing in front of the minion wave(Doesn't happen to much unless they are being mad aggro). When they are hugging the wall which is often the support.Then there are the times where they are standing right beside each other(If they have half a brain about what bard does the chances of this happening in lane are little to none). Now back to the high skillcap of the Q. I understand that you need practice to land the q but if you do land it what do you get out of it. You get a stun that does minimal dmg with a decent stun time. (a.k.a high risk low reward). Many other supports have direct stuns or have the ability to stun entire teams and do good damage in the process with a long stun time with little to no effort. Ex: Nami,Annie,Braum,Morgana.
W: I do find the W to be very useful early game. But later on in the game it just becomes a ms buff more then anything. For some reason people in plat, gold, diamond 3 and lower don't seem to understand that bard heal is needs time to charge.Its more frustrating then the time when thresh was first released and people had no earthly idea what the lantern did. I believe the charge time of the W should scale down as you level it.
E: The E is perfect Leave it how it is
R: This ability is beautiful. Its the perfect catch tool, divides enemy team, great for helping ganks, helps diving. I see no flaws in this ability but I do believe Riot focused to much on his ultimate then the rest of his kit. This ability relies entirely on your team being ahead or on par with the enemy. If your team is behind and your playing bard your nothing more then a bump on a log with a disengage. In my eyes this ability is just a lesser form of Tibbers stun from annie.
Bard in solo que is awful but i do believe that in ranked 5vs5 with a decent engage comp will be the only time bard will be able to truly shine.So what do you guys think about Bard right now.
