Cassiopeia feels...random?

Hello! I've been an avid Cassiopeia player since season 2. I quite enjoy her and the gameplay she brings into the fields of justice.

With this recent patch of 6.9 and playing her a handful of times in normal and now ranked, she seems very random.

I felt like before 6.9 my benefits of poisoning someone was rewarding and to keep poisoning them for the 40% increased damage and to keep my E refreshed.

This patch I feel as if I just need to land one Q and a couple E's and my team comes in and cleans up. Its very dull as a Cassiopeia player that I just now sit back and hit a couple Q's and E up a few times and block everyone from movement abilities with my W.

I really miss the whole venom aspect of Cassiopeia and the challenge of keeping my target poisoned so I could have my E refreshed. I also think that making her E cd now .9 seconds is really new player friendly, for which I disagree with making it so easy to land her main source of damage.

I'd love to have the old E's abilities with this new Cassiopeia. Happy gaming.

Great. The best hero in the game gets completly destroyed in a unnecessary rework and now we have to wait until she gets patched in multiple hotfixes and patches until she gets somewhat balanced but will never be as good as the 6.8 cassio unless they revert the changes they did in one of the future patches...

She will be way better than the "Stashu Cass" after all the changes.

One does not simply release a stable / balanced champion out of the box... it was the same hassle with the last rework also.

But the last rework was in a good spot. It felt really balanced, fluidly to play, rewarding when you hit your poisons. She hadn't any problems with any matchups in the middle lane (at least I don't have any). Her weaknesses were mostly that she can't really engage a fight or poke and is duo to her immobility weak to ganks. But thanks to her Q range she had at least a little bit poke and the potential to coughed someone off guard. Also she was able to turn around ganks with her ultimate and her massive dmg output.

I don't understand how one can swap this perfect and unique kit for something as useless and clunky as the new one. When i saw the changes on surrenderat20 I already thought that it doesn't look as good as the current Cassio. After playing her just a few times I can tell that this Cassio is just bad. So why change her when you obviously can't improve her. Never change a running system... especially when you are going to break the system completly...

They reworked her because a lot of the community, including Cass players, have been asking them to. She wasn't that well-balanced before- if you don't remember, she had really expensive mana costs (and run out of mana easily in lane, especially if enemies forced trades) and with the season 6 changes favoring early game/snowball, her passive wasn't optimal. She was not that perfect- she had some issues, but all she really needed was a tune-up with ap ratio/mana cost and a new passive. They didn't need to change her mechanics at all, and not sure why they made those decisions, especially as those changes took away from her identity and kit synergy.

Many heroes have to mana problems and need to buy something. Cassio mostly bought tear of goddes or rod of ages first to solve it. And you could poke early well with. Now you can't poke with Q and have even more mana problems on lane since you can't regen with E. Atm i don't bother to do anything on lane and go just away when they try to trade since i can't harass with Q, W is useless and E doesn't regen mana. And her passive is even worse for early game since that 6th slot kicks in even later than the 500 stacks.

If they really wanted to address these few little flaws they missed it completly and made them even worse... And just because a hero has flaws it doesn't mean he/she is underpowered. In fact that's the reason why i think she was nearly perfect. A too well rounded hero is boring to play.

I wished they'd just tweak her a little bit the mana cost of E making it a little bit more worth to cast E early or give her another passive. A stack passive which only gives some bonus stat is kinda boring.
