Ranked Placement System

I main Garen and I do pretty well as him with a 8.5/4.6/6.0 KDA in 8 games. I have lost 6 games out of my 10 for ranked placements, and I was placed in Bronze III, mostly because I was paired with bronze players who thought they could take on 5 champions by themselves. Why have I been placed in Bronze III when my MMR is so much higher than the League I am in? I used this link: http://na.op.gg/mmr/region=NA to find out what my MMR is and it says this:

The Average MMR for this league is 1,073. (Bronze III) 1,211 MMR Very nice! Your MMR is considered higher than this league!

So how come I was placed in Bronze III? I know my placement won't be able to change, but I would like to know the reason.

It says you were silver last season and you said you only won 4 games that's why you got placed that low.

So it's only based on how many games you win?

That plays a role in it but for the most part it's pretty hard to go above where you were you usually drop down a few divisions or so.

This only means one thing , you'll have easy game there which you will enjoy for sure untill you meet with the higher elo carries that will make you cry , focus on your game and learn when you have the chance from the strongest oponents .
